what always bothers me about smith is that he is buy the book when it comes to subbing players. It's like he subs a player whether they are winning or loosing. Now i don't get how he cannot see the momentum turning in this game. I was listening on the radio and i could feel the game turning to boston's side...i must be psychic..

What really stuck out to me about this game was that the Raptors looked intimidated and scared in the 4th quarter. They played like they thought they were going to lose, and they were right.

I think you can sum up the game really simply:
- The Raptors came out flying then ran out of gas. - The Celtics started slow then got their legs under them. My Final Thought: That's the difference between a veteran team and a young team. Which we still are, despite JO's contributions. This game was about learning how to manage your emotions. So you can be at your peak when it really counts. Until next time, take care of yourselves and each other. |

Still Sam made a horrible mistake. I was really pleased the way Moon defended Pierce in first quarter. Incidentally that is when Pierce missed most of his shots.
Why does he keep Kapono on the floor? He even let Graham play in 4th (nothing good happened). Did he bench Moon to make a point? Theres your point - we lose. |

I don't know if I'm mad or about to cry ... attribute the wanting to cry to being tired as hell. Grrr that 4th quarter ... grr! Terrible 4th ... terrible 2nd half!! I don't even know what else to say!

well t'was the first heartbreaker of the season.
Look. I was pissed off yesterday and turned of the game after Pierce made the layup to put the celts up by 6, but in retrospect i'm not going to dwell on it and will take away some positives. Jermaine Oneal, while he arguably cost us the game down the stretch, i think it was a good step forward for him in him finding his offense early. Joey, Kapono played a little outside their comfort zone and had success. Both Bosh and Jose had off nights. Basically, the team wasn't really running on all cylinders and still almost upset the champs. Also, i thought Jermaine's "toughness" / "gangsta attitude was something that I haven't seen on a raptor team since the days of Charles Oakley. And i liked it! now just don't turn the ball over and we'll be ok. Jose brought a little fire too which was pretty cool. It's time to move on and to come out hard next game. oh, and Jakub: the red circles on the suits are poppies to commemorate rememberence day and those who faught in the wars. It's a British commonwealth thing. Rememberence day is today (Nov. 11th) |

I bet if Sam would play Moon and still Celtics win, you would be pissed off why he wouldn't play Kapono. |

the thing was that we also needed buckets last night too - and Kapono had more to offer than Moon in that regard. Honestly, Jamario has been a huge let down offensively - especially yesterday, taking horrible long range jumpers and threes. made me want to throw up.
