And all my criticisms were directed at the wankfest over a couple of wins as if all the problems of the world were solved by a coaching change. Who was right and who was wrong in the assertions at the time? Mind you my assertions were of the obvious variety and so were also the easy ones to make. I give you credit for going out on a limb. I'll also say having no backup big has hurt us a lot lately. When Bargs went out early in the 4th we got killed. Partly because with Bosh and Voshkul, there's no-one boxing out. As a pair Bosh and Bargs are good because one boxes out and the other grabs the boards, but without Bargs in there we've been getting murdered on the boards. Having Rasho would be perfect right now.

hm, I read that post 3 times, I still can't see where I said we will go 40-20. All I said what that IF we go 40-20, then Triano is a lock for coach of the year. Which I still think it's true, any coach who takes a team under .500 and has a .660 record thereafter will most likely win COTY.

Just on the previous page I was saying:
so I was no part of any "wankfest" as you so nicely put it ... , far from it. And my COTY post was in response to your post that McMillan was a lock for that award, which I though it was premature.

And finally our record in the last 26 games of last season under Sam Mitchell was 9 and 17, which is almost identical with the record over the last 24 games under Jay Triano: 8 and 16.

So yeah - I would say Triano in his first 25 games was as good as Mitchell was at the end of last season.

Gee - you're right - you did not suggest that the team could go 40-20 the rest of the way at all. You just mentioned it in passing as some sort of random comment. Nate McMillan COTY? It could be Triano? Absolutely true. I'm not sure why I didn't mention that myself.

Everything was about how Jay could be a big difference maker and needed to be given a chance. Now it's all about how he hasn't been all that different than what was here before. So it's taken a while but it looks like we're in agreement, and the whole coaching change as a means of progressing forward can be seen as a joke.
