It wasn't just the back to back, this team has played and traveled a lot. In 28 days we have played 16 games, with traveling all across north america.

Even with the 20+ dunks off turnovers, they still shot only 45%. THe pace was too fast, but that was due to those TOs, which made many possesions last 3-4 seconds And on the glass we've been competitive, and they shot poorly from the 3 as well. The dunks didn't came on penetrations for the most part, but on TOs.
Well said.

lolll, i think the reason why we lost tonight was mainly because of the fuckin turnovers from our ball handelers tonight so im talkin (JOSE, BELLINELI, JACK) kept turning over the fuckin ball yes we played bad defence but we were playing bad defence until the second and we managed to stay in the game. Later when the turnovers started we turned into a pile of shit

Why was Derozan pulling up for jumpers on the fast break?

After a while, BC needs to be blamed. Im tired of watching these sivs not try on defence. Or in many cases, not be quick enough or know where theyre supposed to go on rotations.

The starting lineup needs a huge overhaul. Many of us hoped wed be so good offensively it wouldnt be THAT bad on defence, but this is just awful to watch.
You're lucky to miss this one.

This team gives up more open dunks and layups than any I've seen in my life. Seeing Calderon, Bellinelli, Hedo, Bargnani try and keep up with Charlotte's uber-athletes was disgusting. Every turnover - OPEN DUNK. Every long rebound - OPEN DUNK Hedo: "come back Gerald!!!"

I'm beginning to think this team would be better if we just signed Parker, Delfino, Moon instead of Hedo... at least they could protect the perimeter a little... but whatever... this team clearly has no defensive strategy anyways. We should've hired Mo Cheeks as an assistant instead of Marc "defensive coach of the Suns and Grizzlies LOLZ" Iavaorini

Got to think ahead too, focus only on the present and you get NYK.

We gave up 116 to the Bobcats... they average like 85... we didn't lose this on d???

We didn't lose this on HALFCOURT d. Transition d matters though. And as much as it felt like there was more, we only turned the ball over 15 times. They got just as many fastbreak points just running down the court after our possesion while our slow buttholes ran behind

oh yeah and playing Weems, Pops, and Johnson together the last 5 minutes of the 3rd quarter is a great way to erase a 20 point lead. I think Pops got more minutes than any of our bigs the 2nd half. The ol "sending a message" trick... even though Bargnani had a ton of energy the first half and was our best player... and having a 35 point loss instead of a 15 point loss will really help our morale... whatever

I don't know who really thought the Raps would be an above average defensive teem

some of us didn't like the prospect of Hedo coming and were happy to see Portland interested i.e. Me

I thought Marion....Marvin.....draft (no immediate need to spend $53 mil)

better get used to it b/c this is the team, Bargs/Hedo/Caldy long term deals
I don't know what BC will do, but he is to blame
Milwaukee and GS trades were good though

No... I thought we'd be below average and likely bottom 5... I didn't think we'd be the worst defensive team of all time.

According to the Hollinger stats... the difference between us the 28th ranked defense, THE GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS, is the same as between Golden State and San Antonio at 17th, and greater than between them and Houston at 18th.

How disgusting is that... the difference between us and the Nellieball roster is the same as between them and league average. We're in an entirely different league than everyone else in terms of bad defense... it's breaking new ground

Opposing players have no fear of attacking the basket against this team.
As in years past this team's biggest problem is it's lack of testicular fortitude.

How about a layup then?

An 8 time all-star, 2 time all NBA and the greatest dunker in basketball history can give his views on dunking. He said that going up for a layup is the same thing, he didn't say anything about not attacking the basket.

"This is not a great matchup for us. This is a team [Charlotte] that drives the ball and takes the ball to the basket. But honestly, I can't say that there was anything wrong with our coverages... other than 41 transition points. That's just getting back. You take away 41 transition points and we've got a basketball game. But we don't get back, we're one guy short everytime and they find the right guy... they had quicker hands, quicker feet and were quicker up and down the floor." - Jay Triano on the Bobcats in transition

lol, i love how he tries to explain how 41 transition points cost the raps the game.

Wrong.........Wrong.........Wrong.........no way you point the finger on Jose, Beli or Jack. You want to play the blame game then you play it right. The stars of that debacle was the entire Raptors team. They just were out of sync, who knows why...but thats why the coaches get paid the big bucks . Its their job to figure it out. Maybe we tweak our rotation on our back to back games. Who knows but we all agree something has to change. What really sticks out for me is that the Cats blocked 16 of our shots which i believe is the most by any team this year. Did this have anything to do how we played and how poorly we shot the ball .

I think it was more than just that. 16 block shots is potentially 32 lost points. The Raptors lost by 35 points and Jose did get 6 Turnovers. 6 TO's by a starting point guard is really shitting the bed.

Add to that the 35% shooting you just shit the hell out of the bed. Its funny the offense was really the big problem in the bobcat game not the crap defense

You know the name Steve Nash who leads the NBA by far in T/O'S AS A POINT GUARD.

2nd any t/o from Jose is huge because we just don't expect any from him so yes 6 is earth shattering but not the reason we lost. We only shot 34 % so when your offence has an off night that is where good d keeps u in games. Our d is bad so the pressure will always be on our O to score alot points.

A lot has already been said, let me put my 2 cents too.

Raptors played, or rather play, like girls and when challenged by a more athletic and tougher team, result will be the same. Bobcats blocked their shots repeatedly in the paint. Their defence was good, had many interceptions and were very athletic. We neither had speed nor toughness.
Jose, Barg and Turk are particulary soft and slow and I wll say it again DD is another failed project.
We were badly exposed. But as usual Raptors will bounce back with 1 good game then 2 bad games.

We're Raptor fans, not Hedo fans, we're allowed to hate on our team, you aren't.

Different schools of thought. People here didn't want Hedo because they felt he wasn't the best fit for the team, you didn't want Hedo here because you didn't think the Raps were good enough. Doesn't work both ways, sorry...
