POST GAME: Toronto Raptors 111 - Golden State Warriors 117

Getting it warmed up.

highonpsi 12-30-2008 01:00 AM

Colangelo's a deadbeat!!

jumplvlan23 12-30-2008 01:01 AM

I think its finally safe to say that this team blows.

Stonezz 12-30-2008 01:01 AM

We rebounded tonight, but we still lost. This roster needs a shakeup before Denver rocks us again :(

TORaptor4Ever 12-30-2008 01:01 AM

I'm sorry.... but anyone who puts this loss on Jose and Bosh deserves to be stabbed in the face.

How could ALL of our wings choke at the same time???? How is that even possible???

It should be said though that if JO wasn't sick and had played, we'd have won this game. Our lineup with Bosh and Jose on the bench was laughable.

Gurk 12-30-2008 01:02 AM

Offence was good while defence reeked. We need to make a trade

Ball Don't Lie 12-30-2008 01:02 AM

Use Joses statline when talking to other teams and trade his ass ASAP for the guard we so desperately need. Bargnani isnt going to get our guy, its either Jose or Bosh and theres no discussion there.

Joses been a major disappointment this year despite being great tonight besides crunchtime where he wilted like the pansy he is.

Ex2k 12-30-2008 01:02 AM

Okay.....

Before the usual posts appear...

Calderon played well
Bosh played well

The game would have turned out differently based on 2 factors:

1. JO played the entire game
2. Kapono hit his open jumpers

that is all..

Cause they all suck

jeffb 12-30-2008 01:03 AM

Their record aside. GSW would be crazy to break up this team compltely. They have way more talent then we do.

Belinelli/Jackson/Azabuike/Ellis/Morrow/Beidrins

raptor123 12-30-2008 01:04 AM

Lets trade the thriller. Any takers ?

Colangelo needs to scout at a prison, and get some 7'3" 455LB beast. Our team is sissified.

uhh... thrilldog.... we need Jose AND another guard. No point in trading him away for one.

jeffb 12-30-2008 01:05 AM

AP really needs to go.Thank god he has an expiring contract. He's been good for us until this year. Thanks AP but don't let the door hit you on the way out!

Stonezz 12-30-2008 01:05 AM

Yeah GS has loads of talent, they should trade Maggette when hes healthy for a real point guard or big man or both

Ah, there's my voice of reason.... right on time. :police:

Ball Don't Lie 12-30-2008 01:07 AM

You know I'm right about Jose. The guy was supposed to be our #2 option this year and hes turned into our #4 option most games. Hes lead this team right into the ground. If he was as good as people thought he was we'd be at least hovering around .500 and we'd have won a couple of close games, but our execution in 4th qtrs is brutal, and thats not just coaching. Jose cant do shit if you either dont go under the screen or hedge, because he'll just throw it out and stand away in the corner. He isnt a leader and he isnt an impact player.

Ugo Ferst 12-30-2008 01:07 AM

The best shooter in the history of the NBA!!!! Next person to say this seriously will get a laugh from me again.

Than we should only play him for a couple minutes. He'll knock some people out, get ejected and play the same role the next game

highonpsi 12-30-2008 01:07 AM

This is no longer a euro team Colangelo, make a trade and get some players with heart to join JO.

Or get some better euros?? :sigh:

Gurk 12-30-2008 01:09 AM

Let's get "The Great Khali" from WWE to join our team :D

jeffb 12-30-2008 01:09 AM

12-19

Wow, that hurts!!

:crybaby:

at the end of the half, we'll get him to dunk and bend the rim down, so the next half our opponent will have a hard time shooting on a bent rim.

Stonezz 12-30-2008 01:09 AM

Raps needa trade Bargs for some wing help ASAP. His stock is falling and we need to unload him while he still has some value. BC should try to get Blatche from the Wizards or something too

See, that's why "The Great Khali" would be a perfect fit. He is like 7 foot something and weighs like 300-400 pounds

jeffb 12-30-2008 01:12 AM

No way GS gets rid of Belinelli now after the last few weeks at what he's making!

Jose Calderone is not motherfucking Steve Nash or Chris Paul or any other HOF calibre PG.

What he is is a solid floor general that should be the THIRD option on any decent team. He doesn't have the skillset to dominate the game like Paul does so wishing for that is just ridiculous.

That being said he's still MILES better than TJ.... and most of the other PGs in the NBA.

What we need on this team is a perimeter guy who can create off the dribble to take pressure of Bosh AND Jose. Honestly..... those guys did all they could for us to win this game..... the rest of our team just lost it.

Ball Don't Lie 12-30-2008 01:13 AM

Jose hasnt lead us in any game all year besides a couple early season games vs bad teams. Since then hes been an off guard for the most part, not a lead guard.

His play would likely change with a very good ballhandler and creator beside him, and that is probably best since hes proven he cant lead this team on the perimeter and he isnt top level PG talent, but again, if not him or Bosh, who the hell is gonna fetch us a very good swingman unless BC somehow fleeces another team?

Something needs to happen and needs to happen soon because I'm losing my hope for this team and I cant stand another year in the lottery. You cant go from 2 decent playoff years back into the cellar.

I apologize for overreacting but I'm extremely disappointed in Joses regression from last year and I believe he can do much much better than he has so far as a whole this season. Triano needs to approach him in the lockerroom and tell him its his team to lead, and it is, the way we're constructed.

he'd be too embarrased to play for the raptors, he might consider OKC

jeffb 12-30-2008 01:14 AM

Fuck!

DENVER/HOUSTON/ORLANDO NEXT UP!!

Yikes!

All 3 losses:dead:

jumplvlan23 12-30-2008 01:16 AM

Unfortunately, I think this team needs to be blown up and become completely rebuilt.
Try to keep Bosh, which I think is highly unlikely.

This team needs to be built from the draft. Sadly, the Bargnani pick did set us back a couple years. Can't really blame BC b/c hindsight is 20/20.. let's face it, these things happen!

What I hate about this team right now, is that there is absolutely no sense of direction. What is Colangelo trying to do right now? Is he trying to develop a young team? Is he trying to make quick fixes to try and become a contender right away?

It's not like our team has young guys have alot of potential to look forward to. And our team isn't exactly young either.

Unfortunately, I think it is time to rebuild. Who gives a fuck about making the playoffs when realistically, even when this team is at their best, it's highly improbably they'll make the first round?

I would be much happier with these losses if I knew we were rebuilding, developing a young team, etc... but we AREN'T. We just flat out suck.

highonpsi 12-30-2008 01:16 AM

raptors will win 31 games this year if colangelo continues to be a deadbeat

Honestly Thrills... I have nothing but huge respect for you dude... you've always been a favourite poster of mine... but I think that you're WAY off base here.

If we're relying on Jose to be this "dynamic, MVP-calibre, game-changing PG" then we're in for a world of disappointment.

Jose is a solid, solid PG.... but that's not his game.

You may as well ask Biedrins to be Tim Duncan.

jeffb 12-30-2008 01:17 AM

JK/AP/JG/JM

Combined 11 of 41??

Wow! We suck hard at the 2/3 spots.

raptor123 12-30-2008 01:17 AM

We are so unlucky. We are almost even from the 3 pt line as they made 2 more. Turnovers we were -1 for the night. We killed them on the boards tonight 49-37. They were a + 10 from the FT line. We were +1 in assists. We shot like shit tonight we took 93 shots and they took 76. Where was AP and JK tonight ? We had great looks all night just unbelieviable that we lost this game. Hell we did not need JO tonight to win this one. Well this game is over. Lets get ready for Denver on Wednesday.

WE should see the pick we get and trade it for some young players. Trade some people this year also. WE might as well tank now

highonpsi 12-30-2008 01:18 AM
