Step 1: high scoring half
Step 2:get double teamed
Step 3: turnovers

When is Andrea going to get it? When is he actually going to start putting forth some effort on the defensive end?

That was a great first half.

Too bad games aren't 24 minutes long.

I really liked DeRozan's game. Both the body control he put to good use in the first half - and the difficulties he learned that he's going to need to break through yet. Another nice step.

Valuable learning experience for DeRozan, in that he'll have to learn how to deal with pressure and double team traps. Bargs reverted back to his star gazing defensive ways - points in the paint were at a premium.

+1.

We would be a contender then. However, we have great first halfs partially because other teams don't take us seriously until they see what we are capable of.

That is soooooooooo damn frustrating. How many games are gunna end up like this? It's like the Raptors just give up in the second half or they aren't prepared at all. I almost KNEW the Spurs were going to storm back and win in the 2nd half, even before the first half ended.

We won't be able to keep playing Bargnani at C like this. We'll get beaten on the boards on a consistent basis.

And having a centre who is afraid to play inside won't do us any favors.

Ed Davis (6'10'') is outrebounding and outbloking Bargnani this season in his rookie year in 24mpg vs Bargs 36mpg. So sad, this guy will forever be frustrating to watch and we'll always see him excel in 6 out of 10 games and tease the fuck out of us. Andrea Bargnani will never be a beast, and will never be a complete player. Especially as a Center.

+1

He just doesn't have the will to compete. Some players just don't have that fire. That's what separates the good players from the average ones.
