Magic Post-Game Thread: Orlando Magic 104 - Toronto Raptors 96

pretty good game. stayed close with one of the best teams in the league. the lull at the start of the 4th really did us in, but a couple of good bounces and calls down the stretch, and that could have been a totally different outcome. we missed belinelli's spark off the bench today.

points in the paint were killer, but one real positive is the way amir is starting to emerge over the past few games. he's really providing hustle and nice dose of dirty work.

howard should have been fouled out. Throws elbows at everyone down there.

Definitely a better performance than last time we played them. The roles and chemistry of Raptors has much improved. Hopefully we can beat them next time when we play them in Orlando

man... I really like all the "lesser" players on the Raps right now...

Johnson, Weems, DeRozan, Belinelli, Pops and Wright....

and I am extremely frustrated with all the big names....

Jack, Calderon, Bargnani, Turkoglu and Bosh

Bosh is kinda the exception... hes played great don't get me wrong but hes not good enough to win games on his own... as of late he disappears when the team needs him the most, and then we have to fight an uphill battle which never ends up working...

Jose is killing us, when JJ Redick or J. Williams look like all stars there is something wrong. Plus Jameer did not play realistically we wouldn't have had a chance had he played tonight he is far superior to Jose.
I really have no problem with our front court between the starters bench and hopefully when Reggie comes back we are ok.
The back court is the problem and specifically PG position, Jose is not pulling his weight.

Howard should have been on the bench with six fouls, no question about it. Not why we lost though, we essentially made him a non-factor with our defense.

The Magic weren't capitalizing near the end of the fourth and we had the looks in the to come close and possibly pull ahead, they just didn't fall. We can't afford these fourth quarter lulls.

Anyone hating on Bargnani needs to check themselves. The refs wouldn't let the man play defense tonight. No different than normal I guess. Andrea's sixth foul sums that up in a nutshell.

Yeah. Pretty good game. And great one by Amir. Jack and Weems not so bad either.

Bargs was of with the foul trouble and Jose had ok first half, but horrible horrible second half.

We defended Carter pretty good in the first half. In the second he made a lot of really tough ones and then in the end had easy going with Jack on him. Cant understand why Jay insists on playing Jack and Jose together. This time Jose should have just stayed on the bench.

Even though the game was good, we got to see one Raptors trademark play with Lewis grabbing a big offensive rebound in the fourth after D12 missed free-throw and Bosh forgot to box out.

Good game by bench even with Belli, Wright and Evans out. Starters not so hot. Bosh was good at getting D12 fouls, but then we stopped going to him in the second Q.

Hitting some big shots (Calderon missed 2 threes and Jack went 1/3 in the fourth) would have helped.

Defensively a good performance. I would just like to see Triano grow balls to sit Jose/Jack in the fourth. If one is working go with him, but dont play them together (unless both are really hot and we can afford defensively).

I'm Sad

somehow... even tho we kept it close with Orlando for the most part... these type of losses are harder to take.

I was hoping for a huge game out of Turk

Bosh started off like he had Howard in check and was going to dominate

Bargs gets ZEROOOOOOOOOOOOO respect from the refs.....!!!!!!

yes... I'm Sad

Good point.

I know Orlando is one of the top teams in the East, but why the satisfaction with a loss? I hope neither Jay nor the players are thinking "good job, we only lost by 8 pts to Orlando". Good coaches and good teams coax these wins out once in a while. Next time we'll have Belli, but they'll have Jameer. We better bring something more.

Oh and you got to love Rasho. He sees the floor once in five games, but he is ready to play. Only 3 mins today, but able to score couple of baskets and get an offensive rebound. A perfect dependable role player.

Defended the Magic's big 3 relatively well. KInd of relaxed when they were out of the game though, allowing Reddick and Anderson to shine.

bargnani doesn't touch howard and he gets a foul, the next possesion somehow howard is sent to the floor and there's no foul called ... that bald ref is the worst, not sure how he's still reffin, I though he was kicked out for good.

We really need a guy LIKE Carter back in Toronto.

We need two all-stars to win. We have one.

Terrible game for Turk. 12/6/2 in 40 minutes of play? Give me a break. + That crucial turnover.
