I've deleted my post, since I am unfamiliar with the backstory and I might be contributing to a lame joke.

Hi guys!! My first post here. It was a good game but Raptors almost lost 20 points lead which was not very encouraging. But they won and thats what counts. Wade is probably one of the most dangerous players in the league.

I think right now the weakest link in the team is Jose. He is not quick enough on both ends. He is also not shooting well and even missing the FT. Anyway, offensively he is a very conservative but reliable PG.

Overall Raptors are much improved this year thanks to the bench. Bosh and Barg are also much improved. I think we can beat any team this year, although not on a consistent basis.

Welcome aboard, Faster!

Nice first post.

Personally, I didn't enjoy watching Jose close out late on Chalmers or get hung up on a lot of screens tonight.

Also, Jermaine travels on just about every post move he makes, and sadly, so do Hedo and Bargs after just about every pass they receive.

It's funny how the top guys in the NBA all seem to do a few things really really, ridiculously well, like at a completely different level than their peers. Wade's body control is so incredible on drives that he routinely manufactures fouls by driving hard in one direction, then switching direction mid drive and bumping INTO the defender for the foul. Wade is responsible for 100% of the contact, but since he's so quick at it he gets the call pretty much every time. Not even Jordan was that quick at that one particular move - switching direction mid drive right into the body of his man for the foul. Wade is also one of the top 3 quickest (and most efficient) guys in the NBA in getting from the 3 point line to the basket. He usually does it in 2-4 steps, then takes off and just makes something out of nothing every time.

Again, Demar needs to play more. 22 mpg for his more than solid contribution wasnt enough. He stayed infront of Wade BEAUTIFULLY in the 2nd half especially. If it wasnt for him the Heat WOULD have come back and possibly even taken the lead in the THIRD.

Jack was great and hopefully the confidence he got from tonight turns his season around and forms him into the player he was last year.

We need to pound it into Bosh when we have big leads. Simple as that. We lost leads shooting jumpers.

We got the win and did a lot of things right.

Now we have to crush VC.

Pops is playing his heart out like this is the last chance in the NBA, his future so to speak. If everyone on the team had this same mentality I'm sure there won't be much complaints about Raptors defense even though injuries might go up.

Did you read the rest of my post? Taking 2 steps to gather yourself is legal; traveling before dribbling is not. Notice they still make that traveling call on guys like Bargnani and many other big lumbering forwards/centers? Or Jason Kapono every time he tries to put the ball on the floor...

Totally agree. And he gave us some great minutes in the first half. I was expecting to see him return when the Heat were making their comeback, but he couldnt get off the bench. Any one know why? He certainly wasnt a liability.

It was funnier last night when I posted it under the influence of a few wobbly pops. Just razzin' ya, bro... No offense intended.

because he wasnt as effective throughout the game... he was just ok in the 4th.
whereas Bosh would fight really hard for his offensive boards if he missed throught out the game and especially in the 4th and he had this one play where he ran from the half court to get a ball defelected from Joel anthony and then he got us the ball from a jump ball and we got a 5 point lead. He was just more of a felt presence throughout the game and same with hedo.

Nah.

The NBA was tired of inteligent people constantly complaining about the fact that they were allowing thier players to travel repeatedly in games, so they made a few more steps legal. Now thier fundamentally retarded so called stars can function and get thier dunks and fancy open jumpers on complete and classic basketball infractions you couln't get away with in Midget basketball in canada.

Welcome to the NBA, "Where Vince MacMahon Happens"
