When we've lost this season, alot of those games he shit the bed. This team needs him handling the ball more and going to the rim along with taking 3's. He needs to mix it up like he did today.

Jarret Jack plays much better when he starts, Jose Calderon plays much better off the bench. Hmm...

I slept in and missed the game - does Hedo's stat line actually reflect his impact on the court? A few games hes posted good number but still been a ghost so I'm just wondering.

Hedo was fantastic. VERY active right from the get-go. And very involved in all facets of the game.

no, I'm not joking, and I'm not complaining - a win is a win. But we didn't play different than the last game, they just missed a ton of shots. I they make their usual percentage, we lose this game. And I don't think they missed because of our smothering defense.

We got outrebounded, they had 15 ORs to our 9 (really 7, hedu got 3ORs in one possesions in the 1st), we didn't box out and made landry look like duncan. scola had more rebounds than Bosh and Bargnani combined.
and we made a ton of stupid mistakes (at least 4 moving screens, bad passes on the break etc).

We got lucky today - let's not make it into a celebration ...

after the 1st quarter, we were oustcored - if you want to say that we won the game in the 1st by our outstanding defense, fine ... but for the rest of the 3 quarter they beat us.

So..... basically you're telling me that you DIDN'T watch the game lol... because our play today vs. how we played against ATL was like night & day.

When we shoot 50%+ and they shoot around 35%... guess what? They're probably going to more OREBS than us!

Scola has been solid all year and Landry is a legit candidate for 6th man of teh year. They're far from scrubs. And SOMEONE was going to have score for them.

I can't imagine how disappointed you're going to be this season... because if you think that THIS was a bad game I don't think that you're going to see too many games that BETTER.

In the 1st half we were more than solid on D, but in the 2nd half I do agree with Milk. It makes a big difference when Johnson is coming off the picks vs when Ariza does due to all of the things Johnson can do. They got al ot more open looks and 2nd chances in the 2nd half. ATL buried us with the same sort of chances in the SECOND half but with ATL it was most of the game, but on the flip side, ATL obviously has more ball handlers and creators off the bounce vs what Houston has.

We're good against teams that dont have explosive perimeter players, and struggle against teams that do. Its proven fact because those players either score on us or create opportunities for others and we suck on rotations off the penetration and kick out.

That's great. I was so high on the guy watching the guy in the playoffs last year (so that's free of homerism), he looked like a world-beater. If he can keep up a higher level of play, it will be interesting to see how he responds once (if) Jose comes back. If his play regresses again then we have a serious problem. I always questioned the sanity of having Hedo on this team with other ball dominating guards.

I really think that Hedo has to be the main playmaker when he's on the floor, with Jose or JJ taking on the Jameer Neslon role. Everyone knew he needs the ball in his hands before he was signed, it just doesn't make sense to me that they'd go get him anyways then make him a tertiary playmaker.

1. The Raps won because the Rockets could not conform to the early start..IMO

2. The best part of the game (as always) was the flirtatious banter between Matt and Leo...

3. What the frig?..We win one game because the early start time and everyone ditches the 'tank' bandwagon? Stay true to the tank! ViVa La TANK!

I liked our defense a lot better in other games this season. You're focusing on the numbers, but that's not the point. Yes, there was more energy to start the game, but the defense was mediocre except in spurts.

Jack standing up to Ariza, who is a lot bigger then him impressed me...Our PG's seem to be the players who stand up for the team the most. ala at KG and Jose. haha

Jack has improved so much it's scary. He could contend for MIP.

It was better effort than against hawks, but moremilk is right, Rockets had some wide open 3's if some of those went down, It would be a Completely different game! But at the end we won against good team and I am happy but still a lot of work to do!

If their biggest disappointment is Hedo, Let BC make another call for Hedo-Ariza trade with Houston.

This board , BC, Rick Adellman, Hedo including us , we all be happy for that.
Ariza didn't want to play here, neither did Marion, Hedo was probably Plan C when it all came down to it. Not sure what you're mumbling about.

Dude, these are Raptor fans, you should know how it goes by now. The tank bandwagon will be jam-packed again after our next loss.

I don't wanna argue, but to be honest, everything you think you saw is there every game. Nothing is all that different.

It's amazing how good a coach looks when his players bust ass and actually execute.

The Raptors shortfall so far has been on the players IMO, hearing them all admit to trying harder now, and trusting each other after a meeting preety much sums up thier lack of leadership issue. Hopefully someone has emerged, and they will be a bit more compretitive night in, and night out now.

Is it Jack? Could be.

Sidenote. Jack got in Ariza's face nicely after that BS elbow, however, part of me wishes DeRozan would have seem that elbow.... his favorite band ain't NWA for no reason, that kid is straight outta Compton, he would have knocked that prick the fuck out.
