Depressing. I say we are 8-20 until we win another game.

Absolutely no D in the big smoke tonight!

Denver shot 57%

We took 14 more shots then them and lost by 7.

Bargnani disapeared in the second half, 3 made shots i believe.

another defeat with just a few points of difference, if only we had defended decently on the perimeter...

7 pt game, against one of the best team in the league, it's not a shame !

they run more than us, and are more effective. that's all.

DD whas out, let's sit him in the bench for few game, and let's him earn his minutes !

but no Jose, and this team was not off, so maybe if bayless can product more, we can close this one.

i hope the next one will be a win against detroit.

Either NBA league pass is a bit behind or you closed the game thread a bit early. I was trying to post when Denver was shooting freethrows and the thread was close.

Well anyway. POG was Wright. He atleast dried his best defensively and didnt throw up as many shot as he could have.

Props to Kleiza for rebounding too.

Other that that the whole team was one big suck fest. Lead by first time starting PG Bayless, who couldnt even score even though it was like guys taking shots at empty gym.

And despite his more than glorious effort offensively, I give some props to Bargs who actually looked like he was trying to defend there. Nene still went around him in the second, but atleast he tried. No one else did.

Who would have preferred to see them lose with a score of something like 89-80?

I would have, because it would point to a future for this team in my eyes. trying to win by scoring baskets will lead to more games where they try to win by scoring baskets. Having a solid defensive identity is a better starting point. You can always add scorers one by one. But it takes a whole team to make for good defense.

some of those came of poor transition D. My point was that there just wasn't any D, until they finally tightened things up a bit when the boos rained down.

Agree. It's like we didn't improve much from last year. Defense is still turrible.

I'm not trying to hate or be overly negative but Derozan really, really, really needs to come off the bench. Why the f*ck did he play over 32 minutes today? Seriously? Was it his offense; 3-11 shooting and 2 turnovers... attacking into a clogged defense, leaving his feet while being completely indecisive on what he wants to do with the ball? Plus his spin move no longer works. Was it his defense? I mean our team perimeter defense remains awful but his individual effort was very poor too. I'd recommend putting Weems at SG, Wright at SF, and either Amir or Kleiza (if offense needed) at PF against these type of teams.

I'm really frustrated with Derozan. I'm not biased from just one game either. I have a big enough sample size to judge. Aside Bargnani, who actually is skilled, Derozan is the only other Raptor guaranteed to play over 30 minutes every night. F*ck all these "his potential" threads. The reality is that he needs to develop the skills first in order to be on the floor. Send him to the D-League or just play him less in the games. He is not going to learn how to shot a jumpshot or improve his ball-handling in a game. He's still too raw. Learn to shot in the practice gym before you hoist long distance jumpshots in a regular season game. This is pathetic. And who the hell is Gary Forbes? This guy bukakeed on Derozan tonight.

Put the guys that can play on the court. This is the f*cking NBA and not a practice facility. Stop spoiling a lottery pick who seems to be incredibly hyped and overrated. Dude's a dunker who doesn't even play above the rim. Alright, I said my piece.
