He influenced nothing? Yeah - that's the truth. Please keep convincing yourself. I guess you missed how he was pinning defenders and setting screens to allow Jack, Jose, Bargnani and others to get open lanes. No surprise.

The Cavs gameplanned against stopping Bosh. So even before the ball went up he had a huge influence that allowed Bargnani to go nuts on them without any answers.

setting a screen isnt influencing the game at all.

Setting the screen is something every player on the floor needs to be doing.

And he didnt pin very many defenders either, instead he spent most of his time hovering 15 feet out from the basket.

He rebounded very well though, defense seemed a little more intense as well.

In fact if anything he did had influence on the team it would have been his rebounding, he was getting everything around him-which is what the team needs him to do.

OK. So he was doing what the team needs him to do, and influencing NOTHING! Priceless.

Yup.

Team needs belli to hit shots, doesnt mean he influenced the game.

snooch... stop the madness.

Bosh was good last night. end of story.

the thing you really have to realize is that he is still better than most players when he has an off night. Look at the facts: He was good on the defensive end, and he had an excellent rebounding night.... and while he wasn't shooting well, he got to the line a lot. Plus he was visibly busting his ass out there.

seriously man....

I guess that I can eat my words from yesterday.

It was great to see a solid effort from everyone. Great win. Almost got hosed by the refs late in the game. Bosh made too good of a defensive play to not be rewarded with the charge call.

The win last night should help with confidence. There were at least two points in the game where former Raptor teams may have folded. Late in the third, and late in the fourth...but being able to go to a line with three great ball handlers, Jose, Jack, and Hedo is a huge bonus this year.

Let's hope that they can keep the intensity up on Friday night against the Grizzlies.

As far as the refs go: that little #33 was just brutal. Consistently bad calls all night.
He should get reprimanded for buying that Mo Williams flop on the three.

ANd thats one of the big factors that made Barg a #1 pick. He can become a scoring machine, if he wasent fouled out im sure he would have had 30+ and 7 rebounds

Am I the only one that wasn't overly exciting with Jack playing very similarly to TJ Ford?

Hey look, someone's open, nah I'll miss this 3 again

Wright played excellent and will be a huge help this year.
Belinelli surprised me by making shots.

Regardless I'm really happy how the starting line played this game, I said when the game started to my buddy that if Barg scored 25 they'll have a good shot to win.

welcome to rf psi!

i was pretty happy with jack. we were able to match up small with teh cavs, he played pretty good d, and mostly he made good decisions. him being able to penetrate the d in the 4th quarter was a big boost.

Welcome psi.

I thought Jack got better as the game went on. I can live with the streaky shooting...I like a lot of the other stuff did out there.

The only thing Jack shouldn't do more than once a game is shoot the 3. I liked how Antoine always stepped in there to take the charge too. Can't wait 'till Friday.

Thanks for the welcome.

I agreed he got better as the game progressed, but shouldn't try the 3 ball often. The raps have 4 players that can make the 3 regularly, 5 if Bosh gets cocky
If he was 2-6 from the court with his other play he woulda been solid.

Don't pay Snooch any mind LX.... I'm firmly convinced now that he's just playing devil's advocate to get his kicks.

No one's that dense.

I never said Bosh didnt have a very solid game.

I never said Bosh wasnt a very good player.

I have said that he isnt a good defender.

That he isnt worth 130 million dollars

that is is more than likely a 1B or 2A type of player

That his skillset isnt what is needed for the team to be successful, but that hopefully he will adapt to what is needed. A hardnosed, defensive rebounder who only takes what is given by the defense in regards to his own offense.

This team DOESNT need a pf that holds the ball for 5 seconds at a time on the wing before deciding to move it, this team needs an open styled offense which was proved last night over and over. Everytime Bosh held the Ball Cleveland managed to go on a run, every time our team Spaced and pushed Cleveland had no answer.

Look at this post again Snooch and tell me that you're not out of your mind.

It's all well & good if you like Bargs... but don't make Bosh out to be some kind of useless scrub.

He's an all-star. AND an Olympian. AND widely recognized as one of the best young players in the league.
