this game was pretty big for us. Spurs were on a 5 game winning streak!! both teams were on back to backs so no excuses there

Sorry for the off topic post but does anyone else link to random archived threads when they click on thread titles at the home page (www.raptorsforum.com)?

Being able to keep other people from scoring on that team is big, and if Jack has to look a little bad to make that happen then it's all good.
a gameplan

looks like Bargs and the team was good on D
Beli is not surprising, he's a bench player, nothing more, maybe less

The Raptors improved to 13-0 when holding their opponents to 100 points or fewer.

Bosh all time leading scorer

Great to see Bosh overtake a historical pain in the ass Carter. Hopefully, Bosh will stick around and make it a carrear in TO.

Bargs and Bosh looked good patrolling the paint ... nice to see.

Belli needs to start making shots ... I like the hustle, but when is he going to start making the odd shot ... If this continues we may need to put him in the psych ward

Banks played hard and made some big plays to the rim ... great to see

Pretty huge win.

Bosh was really good. Thought he was forcing his jump shot a bit too much at times, but overall i was again very pleased with his play. I didn't catch the Boston game, but i've been a lot happier with game recently. BTW, I love relying on CB getting those game on the line free throws. cool as a cucumber.

Bargnani had a good game. At times his offense dissapointed, but his interior D was massive. 5 blocks or something (?) and a couple of highlite reel moves on Duncan.... can't complain about il Mago.

Agree with wanting more time for DDR.

To end on a negative note, Antoine Wright is completely inept on the offensive end. Useless.. tits on a bull.

Banks came last year in the Shawn Marion trade. He has a pretty horrible contract LetsRock. He basically had a good stretch of games a few years ago and got overpaid. And in all honesty, until this last month or so (since Jose got hurt) Banks hasn't played anywhere near the level he's showing now. He's always been scrappy on D, but his offensive game is far better than any of us thought it would be. People have also questioned his dedication in the past. This past summer, he refused to attend summer league.

He's definitely playing better than a third stringer, i will agree with that statement. Hopefully he keeps it up.

Also, i know his 3 (?) reverse layups were pretty sweet yesterday, but calling him man of the match is a bit of a stretch IMO.

Yeah, it's going to be tough. there were times yesterday when Banks was better than Jack (Now please people don't jump on that statement as i am not implying anything).

All i know is that you really can't cut his minutes outright when he's been helping this team win.

I couldn't decide between Bosh and CB4. They were both pretty clutch, and defending so well.

It says something that they were able to fend off the charge by the Spurs in the fourth and win. We've seen so many collapses in that situation that it's almost expected.

Bosh was awesome in the fourth on D, challenging shots. That's what I'm talking about when I say I want to see him being more aggressive at that end. He even put Duncan on his can at one point. That was GREAT!
Now if they can just bring that level of intensity to each and every game...

Indeed. If i recall correctly Duncan had a pretty automatic layup and Bosh just fouled him hard. It was great to see... and i was thinking that was EXACTLY what the situation called for.

beli got minutes becoz he earns them. He's fouled often and this is good. it's true is shootin' shit but he's the only one, as well weems, to run and run. probably he needs a cylinder of oxygen but be patient and he'll give us satisfaction. i think derozan is a missed harlem globtrotter, a kind of jamario moon. the real problem is jose: i hope he learned how to play seeing jack on ocation; now Bosh reached the record so Calderon can pass the ball to the other teammates.

Plus he's second on the team in steals (Beli), only 1 behind Jack and he only plays 20mpg and has missed a game. One thing i've liked about him is that when his shot isn't going down he competes hard on D (not saying he's a great defender, but he competes & is active) and he gets steals, gets to the line. He helps effect the game in other ways, plus he's a good passer. I've been disapointed in his shooting because he's better then he's showing in that department, but with everything else i'm pretty happy. Plus he's only 23 and only had like 70 NBA games under his belt going into this season, he'll only get better.

BTW, Derozan is better then Jamario already and he's only 20. Completely disagree with that comparison.
