I was wondering about all that switching too.... way too lazy.

Well, 6 games out of the last 7 ain't bad... I just hope that they bring more energy against ATL or it'll be UGLY.

Bosh was a warrior again.

after this game I better see the starters resting and use these final games for training scrubs.

unless Triano is too fucking stupid.

6 out of 7? How about the games prior to the win streak?

This is when losses to the Oklahomas and Golden States of the world bite you in the butt.

What about them? I'm counting the games since the win streak started. I guess you could say 7 out of 10 if you like.

We eliminated the Knicks from getting into the playoffs and they come right back and eliminate us... I kinda saw that coming.

Bargnani played well on offence but he didnt run hard up the court and he didnt go hard for rebounds.

Tonight showed why Triano will never be a good NBA coach. Switching on the pick and rolls vs a Mike Dantoni team? Are you kidding me? His offence relies on mismatches and youre just laying it out on a silver plattter for them. Let the guards stroll by our bigs to get wide open 3s caused by the penetration. Nice.

We still suck folks. The winning streak didnt show me anything besides us being able to beat bad teams, and one win where our star came up clutch in a spot where he shouldnt be the one with the ball. This team needs a ton of fixing in the offseason.

Those switches on the pick and roll were baffling. Even more baffling was how it kept happening, and the Knicks started relying on the switch for their offensive sets.

To thriller. Bosh came up clutch twice... once against chicago... the other against orlando. the other games we just dominated the teams.

as for today... you can't ask for more out of bosh. offence, defence, boards... everything.

If Triano laid out that gameplan to switch all screens then he deserves all the criticism. I don't know though.... to be honest our guys just looked lazy as hell. They hardly fought to get through any screens at all.

Contrary to what you said though I thought that there WERE some things (even in this loss) to enjoy.

1) We still hit the glass hard and outrebounded our opponent once again by double digits.

2) 50+ points in the paint. Awesome.

3) Did a fairly good job of sharing the ball.

I think that the Knicks just did a pretty good job of gameplanning for Bargs this game after he killed them last time. And our bench guys gave us NOTHING whatsoever.... when that happens on a b2b... tough to win.

And I still think that the Knicks shot ridiculously well. There were some open jumpers for sure... but there were quite a few that were contested as well and it just didn't matter.

Bosh also continues to play like a beast to shut the haters up. I still think that the idea that people thought he had "mentally checked out on this team" is just laughable. This last stretch of games is proving one thing.... if he ever gets a REAL team around him he'll be close to avging 25 + 12. He's that good.

Missed the game, but I see we didn't win.

Where have all the pompom wavers gone?

Way too much flat-footedness on defense. They came out happy to play even with NY on offense, instead of taking the game to them on both ends. And then without getting any offense off the defense, the scoring eventually slowed, and by that point, more intense D couldn't really do enough to stop all the shooters that had heated up.

This game marked a stark contrast to the previous wins. It's the defense that made the difference. Particularly at the point of attack. They have got to strengthen the perimeter D as this off-season's top priority.

1. by my count we outrebounded them by 1.
2. maybe, but we have up 50% shooting and 52% on threes. we can do what we want in the paint, but if you give up those numbers you're going to get crushed.
2. we had 20 total assists. 10 from the pg position, 6 from all of our other guards combined, and only 1 each from shawn and pops and 2 from bargs. that doesn't seem like good sharing of the ball to me.

we lost by 9 and gave up 9 more threes than we made. other than that, the game was pretty even. we just can't defend, especially on the perimeter. imo, we can find little positive nuggets here and there, but teh fact remains that this is a deeply flawed team and the big glaring negatives outweigh any of the good little nuggets by a wide margin.

It was amazing to me that they didn't even attempt to fight over the screens. Even Douby, who's trying to impress, was switching. This indicates to me that they're being instructed to do so. If that is the case then Triano's not as good a coach as I thought he was and should not be retained. It's been happening all year and it's total garbage.
