Question Possibly the first ever Rigged Dunk Competition?

Sorry if this doesn't deserve it's own thread or not but this needs to be discussed.. and if not please merge..

This has to be the most rigged dunk competition ever, and Demar really got robbed...

1. Griffin's 2nd dunk - He did the exact same dunk as Demar's first one but not through the legs and got a higher score then Demar, Even though that wasen't his originally planned dunk, he changed it up after 5 fails...

2. Demar went first? ... yeah i know big deal but... this is his 2nd competition and he was runner up last year... why did Griffin get to go last?

3. Griffin's last dunk... your telling me that shit wasen't pre planned??...

- Official car of the NBA All Star weekend is.. KIA... what car did he dunk over?... a KIA
- Car had Sprite Slam dunk logo on the side of the car?
- He had that jus laying around in the arena READY to come out that quick?
- Entire Gospel choir with working mics all tested that quick for them to perform?
- Griffin sitting in the car posing out the sunroof for the camera's with his trophey with the KIA and Sprite logos AFTER he won?

4. The winner... the Hometown boy, and Stern's new face of the NBA

Am i just really upset or does anyone else see this?

of course it was rigged.
KIA paid the NBA millions to have their car showcased to millions of fans watching the event, and the hundreds of pictures that will be posted around the net and in newspapers tomorrow... the NBA made sure Griffin was placed in the final round in order to sell that advertisement.
the dunkoff has officially become a marketing event, an hour long dog and pony show.
this was a damn car commercial.

because for some reason dunking two balls into the net and basically just tipping in a 3rd ball deserves a 50

(the 3rd ball WAS GOING IN)

Dominique Wilkins gave Griffin's second dunk a 10 which was almost the exact copy of Demar's which he gave a 9...

Demar put it through his legs...

Serge got robbed so fucking hard for his first dunk. That was a straight 50.

I think DeRozan going first really hurt him because let's be honest, his through the legs off the side of the backboard killed Griffin's second dunk (windmill off the side of the backboard). Yet, DD got 44 and Griffin scored 46. I actually think both of DD's dunks (east bay funk remix, show stopper) were better than BOTH of Blake's (windmill, 360 with soft double pump). I'm a fan of Griffin's, but even I know that was a robbery.

Also, WTF was up with McGee very last dunk? Did he throw the competition? Seriously, the guy had 1:20 to go and decided to do a simple one handed dunk? Stupid NBA...

Rigged? I wouldn't hesitate to call it that.

I also wouldn't hesitate at the chance to go Delonte on McGee's mom. That woman is an AMAZON!

Blake ****ty 2nd dunk. Baron's Backboard Assist To Griffin Dunk | NBA.com

There is now way this wasn't rigged. Blake failed his 2nd dunk 7 times then bailed and did an easy dunk and somehow managed to get a higher score then demars pretty awesome first dunk (IMO it got underrated horribly).

Also, Ibaka's CLEAN free throw line dunk was so impressive. No props, no nothing. People say "oh, he's a seven footer, its easy for him to reach and dunk it". No. If you're 7 feet tall, it's that much harder to jump 15 feet away from the basket to slam it.

Serge was robbed. That was the best dunk the whole night and top 5 in NBA history if you think about how MJs and DR.Js free throw line dunks are considered that way. Serge not only did the freethrow line dunk, but he was the first to do it with out stepping on the line (MJ) or stepping over the line (DR.J). That was a 50. How the hell was it a 45. Also the crowd on Ibaka's dunk, WTF!!!THEY BARELY CHEERED. The crowds went crazy for MJs and DR.Js dunks yet a guy comes and does it better and they barely get of their seats. Serge was robbed and this was rigged. I have also lost all my respect for DR.J for hating on Serge and killing him on the points. This dunk contest was the best we have seen in a while and its a damn shame it was rigged. I loved DDs Show stopper and his first dunk should have been a 48. The man put it between his legs. Something was going on.

highway robbery, griffin's 2nd dunk in the 1st round was a lamer version of derozan's.
derozan had to be eliminated because the fans vote in the 2nd round - they couldn't have risked it. mcgee was the most pathetic, both his dunks in the 1st round were unremarkable, especially the 2nd.

as far as the final round, I don't think there's a player in the league who can't replicate griffin's dunk. Seriously, how was that different than any other alley-oop? Because he had to bend his knees in flight?

it really is a shame, because I counted 4 dunks that were really good (ibaka and griffin's first dunks, derozan's second and mcgee's 1st in the final).

They were going to give it blake. I mean did you see his card dunk. It was all planned. Poor Serge he is the one who got fucked the most. Should have had DD in the finals.

McGee's dunks were pathetic.... how the hell did the guy get a 50 and a 49? Demar had the best overall dunk because it was on his first try and it looked the best.
