Since he is being bought-out by the knicks , what do you guys think, we should get him for his toughness

I think Metta's toughness will help, but his veteran leadership/experience could be overrated. I don't know how positive of a leader he actually is, he's acting like a total child most of the time.

I don't even see him signing with a team like us or barely any others. He said something like he wanted to retire but he just went to the Knicks because he's from NY.

Peace may only be achieved through unity, not money.

I wouldn't mind signing him as a back up gaurd especially for our playoff run we will need a good defender of the bench, and he likes Canada :mu:

Sign a big body centre,,,like Jason Collins or if Daniel Orton is available...they aren't good but who else is available thats big? I think Collins could be effective at setting picks and boxing out for 5-12 mins a game when active if need be, dude must have a good team bball iq to last this long in the league while being limited skill wise.

Don't think Toronto will be on top of his list, but may be a consideration. This is how I see it: we have to waive both Buycks and Stone. They're useless and aren't even adequate as injury replacements. By waiving them, we create two roster spots. It's nice to have some depth now that we're heading to playoffs. I don't mind using 10 day contracts on a few people. We need a big - Kwame Brown, Daniel Orton, Fab Melo not bad for injury replacements and 10 day contract with potential for renewal for season (I didn't mention Big Baby because he won't come here). They all give us some much needed size. Secondly, some insurance on the wings, because Fields really can't shoot anymore. I don't mind Stephen Jackson, DeShawn Steveson, Rip Hamilton, Ben Gordon, or even Artest. Ben Gordon wouldn't be bad. Anyhow, I want to fill that 15th man job for security reasons mostly if anything as there isint really much out there.

Agree big is needed as injury fill in. Perhaps, Kwame Brown, Fab Melo, Daneil Orton, or Collins. We can try them on 10 days and go from there.

he would be on the top of my list too, but I can't see us being more attractive than the Clippers.

Once a guy gets older and slower, crazy or problematic don't play anymore.

Right Iverson?

Right Terrell Owens?

Right Sean Avery?

Right Manny Ramirez?

PG: Right now injury to Vasquez/Lowry: we have De Colo, who not as bad as Stone/Byucks.

SG/SF: If any of the wing players go down: it's Novak (who when doesn't score the 3, isin't that great) or Fields (who can't shoot).

PF: we have some depth there, Hayes not bad.

Centre: have undersized Hayes and could use an additional guy with some more size.

1) Waive Buckys and Stone
2) Sign wing player and Center.
