Position Rankings: Bosh 4th, O'Neal...

CBS Sportsline player rankings are up and here's the results:

Chris Bosh ranks 4th among PF...Elton Brand, the guy who everybody else has be slurping fiercely ranks 8th. http://www.sportsline.com/nba

Jermaine O'Neal ranks 7th among centers...Above guys like Camby, Kaman, Okafor and Greg Oden. http://www.sportsline.com/nba/story/10977659

Jose Calderon ranks... Well we don't know because they haven't ranked the point yet but they have ranked the 3 and of course the Raptors have no one on that list.

Gurk 09-21-2008 01:49 PM

Nice, atleast on this list CB4 is above Brand

Superjudge 09-21-2008 04:47 PM

fuck the rankings.

just go out and prove you're good this year Raps...thats all I ask

Any list that puts Amare ahead of KG at this point is absolutely fucking ******ed and is clearly only made on the basis of offensive stats over actually knowing anything about the game. Ditto for Melo over Pierce.

Also, Bosh is a lot worse than Dirk. And they have Alderidge, Smith, and Jefferson ahead of Jamison. Gross.

They have Yi in the top 20 of the SF list :haha:

Shaq at 4th with Chandler at 10th and Okur and Biedrins at 18th and 19th, LOLLLLLLLLLLLL

Quite possibly one of the worst "player rankings" lists I've ever seen

Gurk 09-21-2008 06:01 PM

I never actually clicked on the link but you just described and wow is that ever a bad player ranking list

Jefferson's better than Jamison ;). They both suck equally defensively but offensively its no contest.

zachus 09-21-2008 06:58 PM

I don't care how hard Amare dunks the ball, and I don't care how efficient he is at hitting wide-open mid range jumpers - fact is, he'd probably be ninth or tenth on that list without Steve Nash. All-NBA first team? Are you kidding me?

As far as Chris' ranking is concerned, he's definitely a top five PF, but I think that he, Dirk, and Gasol are pretty much 4a, 4b, and 4c. Just my two cents.

Gurk 09-21-2008 07:09 PM

Kendrick Perkins above Andries Biendris?
Are you effin kidding me

Ugo Ferst 09-21-2008 07:27 PM

Only people on this forum can make an accurate list it seems... go ahead, try.

Belsius 09-21-2008 09:36 PM

List are the most useless thing ever nvented. They are completely subjetive, and usually just start stupid arguments.

My list is as valid as any of the ones this "profesionals" make.

Best PGs in history:

1) Nate Robinson.
2) Jason Williams.
3) Me.

You are so better than Nate Robinson.

A 5'9 combo guard. C'mon...:stars:

'trane 09-21-2008 09:40 PM

i dunno bel. i'd put you ahead of williams...

'trane 09-21-2008 09:40 PM

ahhh beat me to is acie.

I don't understand the criticism against those rankings, they are just showing a list clasified by the numbers in just some stats ( I suppose the ratings come from those numbers). They are not saying who is the best, just who did better under those parameters.

It would have been better if they had added the stats of turnovers, steals and maybe blocks too.

Only that can be blamed is they have no clue about what spot some guys play in. :D

I have taken a look at and it seems that they have changed some things:

PG
Calde is the 8th
http://www.sportsline.com/nba/player...rint_rows=9999
SG
Parker is the 19th and Moon (???) 27th, watching the numbers of the SF in that spot it seems that he would be at the same spot
http://www.sportsline.com/nba/player...rint_rows=9999
SF
Kapono (??) 40th, Baston (???) 82th and Joe 72th.
http://www.sportsline.com/nba/player...rint_rows=9999
PF
Bosh is 8th, JON 54th, Humps 50th and Bargs 27th
http://www.sportsline.com/nba/player...rint_rows=9999
C
None.

Looking at those numbers, Moon is third best rookie, after durant and horford. Would be 21st in SF
Not bad

Apollo 09-23-2008 10:32 PM

I take issue with Tony Parker not even making the top ten. Jason Terry is better than him? Ray Felton? Give me a break... How many huge playoff games have they had?

Ball Don't Lie 09-23-2008 11:33 PM

Raymond Felton is the most overrated PG in the NBA. Just because he was drafted high and played for NC doesnt mean hes good. He doesnt do anything above average. His talent is definately there but he hasnt shown anything to be considered a top 15 pg let alone a top 10 pg. His shooting and passing for a starting PG is way under par

jumplvlan23 09-24-2008 03:57 AM

LOL at Humps being rated better than JON

moremilk 09-24-2008 01:02 PM

that's a pathetic list ... JO at #54 ????? Even if he would miss 50 games, he'd still contribute more than Humphries ... :)
