Cavs Poor Cavs - from James to Joey

Cavs sign forward Graham - The News-Herald Sports : Breaking news coverage for Northern Ohio

Just to try to take our collective minds off Bosh-Colangelo public duel of jabs, how about 'em Cavs? As much as we've learned to like Joey Graham's strong physique, can you imagine going from one of the most natural and most gifted players in the history of the league to one of the most robotic ones?!

Poor Cavs..

it was kind of funny when everyone suggested Parker can't start anymore in his final season as a Raptor, and that Jamario Moon is a head case and just doesnt get why he is on floor, to defend, rebound and pass the ball not shoot crazy 3's and try to win with a shot in the clutch

so what do the Cavs do, sign Moon and Parker to 3 year and 2 year deals to help Lebron win that title and have Parker start for the Cavs even though he was washed up in his final year as a Raptor and probably better suited off the bench

the problem iwht Raptors is always Perimeter defense, could never do it, guys like Bynum and Gasol are insulated with guys like Kobe,Ariza, Artest, Fisher, Brown, Farmar meanwhile Bosh and Bargs were insulated with guys like Joey Graham,Parker, Moon, Turkoglu, Calderon and Jack

well lets hope Sonny and Demar can change all that this coming year

raptors got their own lebron

Jeremy Lin, Jennings catch fans? eyes at Yao?s charity basketball game - Taiwan News Online

Quote:
Last night’s game was full of show. Jennings proclaimed “I love you” in Mandarin and was wildly rewarded by the crowd with several rounds of applause, while Johnson of the Raptors imitated All-Star forward LeBron James’ famous pre-game ritual of tossing chalk or talcum powder into the air.
amir has been playing ball with other nba'ers in china and taiwan, and got mentioned at the end of the story. i think it would be fun to see him do that for the season opener.

Joey Graham Could Start For Cavaliers

Joey Graham signed a two-year, $2.1 million deal with the Cavaliers and could be in for a bigger role than in the past.

"Joining Cleveland marks an exciting, brand new start for me," Graham said. "This is a great opportunity and I'm excited to come in and help the team as much as possible."

Graham could conceivably replace James in Cleveland's starting lineup at small forward.

"He adds a tough, veteran presence on the perimeter that will complement the pieces we have in place," general manager Chris Grant said in a prepared statement. "With his strong work ethic and discipline, we feel he is a great match with the culture we have built and continue to build."

Yikes. They go from a 6'8 sculpted small forward with an incredible physique - one of the most gifted players in the game, to a 6'7 sculpted small forward with an incredible physique - one of the slowest thinking, most boneheaded players in the game.

They are going to go crazy riding Joey's ups and downs just like we did, always proclaiming that he's got some potential if only he could "put it all together." Expect some nice boxscores like 20 points and 8 boards one night followed by 3 points and 5 boards the next.

Too bad for them. I have no sympathy. They got to enjoy watching a competitive and relevant basketball team for the last 6-7 years, now they suck. We got to watch an uncompetitive and irrelevant team for the last 6-7 years, now we suck. I'm not really sure how Raptors fans are suppose to feel bad for them.
