they will improve to an extent where he doesnt have them as deficiencies. so I would say 3pt to 35-37 percent shooting with defence that works in a team defence concept where he can stick to his man and help out when needed. Im not saying hell become ray allen or tony allen, but they wont be deficiencies anymore, and will help open up more opportunities for his strengths in a mid range game and slashing/getting to the hoop.

I only said 10 cause I blew 100 last night

i feel like he's on the way out, but i also feel like the franchise isn't going to let him go unless they have a replacement coming soon, so i expect a replacement within a week or 2 after tomorrow's "let go"

i think the franchise feels like they need to change the style of the team and as long as BC is still here it's going to be the same style, whether or not he succeeds or not, i feel like even with success BC's only going to get so far with him running the team

Excited to see if TL actually calls Colangelo's bluff and lets him walk tomorrow.

It's fun to finally have a senior executive who can call out BC's professional cars salesman approach ... more talk than substance.
I think BC walks ..

Well, in his article that is the suject of the thread about TL hiring a firm to headhunt for a potential replacement, Doug Smith says "According to NBA sources" TL (and thus MLSE) "has to decide by Monday on whether to pick up Colangelo's option year"

And after that report came out, multiple sources said that It makes no sense that MLSE has a deadline of Monday, and it MUST have been a deadline that BC gave them, not the other way around....

Looks like BC is out as GM, and no new GM announced

Bryan Colangelo out as Raptors GM, offered corporate role: reports

Quote:
It appears Bryan Colangelo is out as president and general manager of the Toronto Raptors, but he could be staying with the team in another capacity.

According to multiple media reports, the Raptors are negotiating with Colangelo to take on a corporate, non-basketball role with the team.

The reports did not specify what Colangelo's new duties with the team would be.

Colangelo joined the Raptors in 2006 and was named the NBA's executive of the year in 2007 when Toronto won its only Atlantic Division title. But Toronto has missed the post-season for five straight seasons and it appears the team is ready to move in a new direction.

The Raptors are reportedly targeting Denver GM Masai Ujiri to take over the reins in Toronto.

Ujiri recently won the NBA's executive of the year award and served under Colangelo as Toronto's assistant GM from 2008-10.

so basically we are saying to BC we like you as an individual and we respect your corporate mind, but we don't believe you to have a basketball mind

This whole thing is bogus, forget personal deadlines. If there is no rule stating that he has to have his option picked up by today then he could very well end up being the President and GM still if they don't find the replacement they want. Ujiri could easily decide he wants to return to Denver to finish what he started and if so what do the Raps do next? The article says he's only been offered another job within MLSE but not that he's accepted or even has interest or mulling the proposal. For me it seems like a way for Leiweke and MLSE to buy more time on their decision regarding Colangelo's position. Like how the hell do you ask Bryan(and him agreeing) to go up on national TV and represent your team after ties to the club have been supposedly severed? I won't be surprised if in a few weeks the Raptors don't find their guy, they'll re-hire Colangelo for 2 or 3 more years with an option.
