Alrighty guys, now that the season is officially over it about that time again to evaluate the season that was from a player perspective.

So, who better to start with but our "franchise" and Chris Bosh. Grade and discuss.

I vote B. I was disapointed in his rebounding this year but thought overall he did a better job at getting to the line and showing aggression. The injury messed him up and he had another slow start but i really believe he is being underutilized. We dont' go to him enough and it ends up in frustration which affects his game...when frustrated he tends to make lower percentage shots and gets away from driving.

I too say a "C".

I had higher expectations for Chris this season. I believe that injuries had alot to do with Bosh's ineffectiveness throughout this year, but when healthy proved to be the all-star we know he can be. The best thing for Chris and for the Raptors at this point is for him to hopefully be left off the Team USA roster this summer so he can focus on him being 100% healthy for next season. I want to see him play 82 games next year and not the 65 to 70 or so we've seen him play over these last couple seasons. A healthy Bosh equals a stronger Toronto Raptor team.

A

He's still the star of this team and as he goes, so does the rest of the team. Rebounding totals were a bit down. Needs to stay healthy.

Bosh is a very good regular season player. He needs to get physically stronger to handle the extra pressure in the playoffs. Still forces alot shots and still struggles with decisions on when to kick the ball back out. Howard just toyed with him, couple of swaps by Howard and Bosh was no where to be found. Bosh better hit the weight room in the offseason and spend less time filming garbage for you tube. I give CB 4 C+

I'll give him a B. Sitting right on 75%

i'm gonna do my grades in a new format this year...

Positives:
-good variety of outside shooting / driving to the hoop.
-He was "better than average" most of the time.
-played with intensity and what have you.
-He got to the foul line a lot
-i appreciated his desire to be the vocal leader.

negatives:
-didn't bring his A+ game to the playoffs
-"questionable" soundbites in calling out fans, coaches, etc.
-HATE his stupid tendancy to get the ball at the top of the key and wait for like 7 seconds.
-showing signs of being overly concerned about his public persona instead of just playing.
-shot too many threes
-showed lack of toughness/badassness.

well i think it's safe to say, judging by the grading, that Bosh was a little all-over the place this season.

some fans focus on the good, some focus on the bad.

Either way, he should improve on everything next year (here's hoping).

I give him an A

Bosh played well, made the allstar game and was the leader.

Howard >>>>>>> Bosh though.

"B" as he helped get us into the playoffs. With lots of room for improvement.

B, though i was pretty close to a C or C+ as I thought his game last night was the biggest disappointment of the season for me.
B because:
He played through some tough spurts, and pretty much shot 90% of the total free throws for the entire team.
I think he'd be stupid to play in the Olympics in the summer. i dont see how thats going to improve his game. He wont get major minutes, granted the practicing would be pretty sweet for his skill set and development.
He needs to get healthy, period. More than that, I think he's lost his explosiveness, especially his first step. He got away with a lot of calls this year because I dont think the refs adjusted to his slowness and gave him the benefit, but guys were really staying close and defending him well all year.
He also needs to incorporate some quicker moves into his repatoire. He takes too long.

I gave him a D, because he clearly regressed this season in most aspects of his game. Even with all the injuries, it's not a good sign because it could indicate that he reached his peak as a player, which would be very dissapointing. THe other thing is, he did some questionable things as well. I didn't like the all-star campaigning, I didn't like the comments about the crowd, but most of all I didn't like the comments about coaching. A team leader should NEVER question his coach in public - as the leader you have direct access to the coach, go and make your comments to Sam, don't attack him when he's down. I know it was frustration and all that - but nevertheless. I also didn't like that he didn't step in when TJ was going bananas - as his friend and the team captain, Bosh should have had the authority to put TJ in his place.

Anyway, let's hope this was just a blip and next season things will be better.

I think Bosh got complacent this past year.

I think he got to thinking that he is a superstar - and it showed in his performances. With all the "talking" and off the court stuff, it showed IMO.

i just didn't get that sense of desperation too many times when we needed it. specifically towards the end of the regular season when the team went on that skid.
