it wouldn't be a tanking lineup, but it wouldn't be a playoff team. i'd rather stay as is then get a 13th pick next season

agreed, I'd go as far as saying outside of those 2 guys I hate the rest of their roster
their roster is full of guys you do not want on your team, they're not even guys that I would pick to fill my end of the bench roster with, they have a lot of guys that are just negative cancers and provide zero positive aspects to a team

Hm. I don't think they deal Drummond but Monroe and stuckey + 2016 pick seems fair.

Throw in a lowry for knight swap maybe?

I wouldn't do a lowry for knight trade, that guy has proven even less than lowry
I can't see even 1 aspect of the game that lowry isn't better than knight

Brandon Knight is a high character 21 year old shooter with a lot of defensive upside.
Caldwell-Pope is an incoming rookie so he will take time to adjust but he's a high energy defender-shooter.

Those are the type of players that every winning team needs, and the Raptors lack. Ignoring specific trades, I'd absolutely welcome either of them on the Raptors.

Pistons fans rather have Rudy than Rondo, look at their boards. They wantlowry and Rudy together.

They seem open to dealing one of the bigs though.

Get rid of Rudy. If there's a trade out there that gets us some picks and some tradeable contracts (like the Bargs trade), we should do it.

I'm saying to add value to the deal in addition to what I already put.

But after reading their board I think we could get Drummond, Knight, A pick in 2016 and an expirng if necessary for Rudy and Lowry.

Monroe would be perfect with JV

I wouldn't mind... if we got a SF to replace... I like Landry and all... but... like... No.

Agreed.... but dealing Rudy just puts us in the same position as before him, with 5 SG's and none of them able to play the three for long stretches without getting exposed by even the weakest of opposing threes.

If you could trade for Monroe without giving up Jonas, you do it, it instantly gives you the most talented young big combo in the league. No need to play the lottery at that point, you have your two future All Stars and both are still on rookie deals. Just clear the cap space and build a team around them, add shooters / defenders, build chemistry.

But it's a pipe dream.

i would think that Derozan and Lowry trades would follow, than we would tank for a year..have a ton of Capspace, young yet very very very (did I say very?) promising team with a bunch of picks. What's not to like?

well it also depends on who you give up to get Monroe, I'm not just going to throw everyone to Detroit to get this 1 guy

I've been convinced we should keep Rudy. The SF position is so hard to come by and we finally have a lengthy and talented SF. We can easily tank with Rudy if we just downgrade our roster by trading our other pieces like DD and Lowry. Keep Rudy.

They would insist we take either Maggette or CV in most deals with Monroe and Drummond I bet. They need to ditch both but can only clear off one.
