Default Pistons cut ticket prices, Toronto Raptors turn?

This detrot pistons have cut ticket prices for their fans, I really hope they cut ticket prices for the ACC cause I am picky with my seats and i like it right up there but I can't afford $500 for one game.

It makes sense in Detroit. Hell, it could turn into a larger version of Flint, Michigan.

And 500 dollars a game? Dude, get Sprite zones for 12.50. Hell, even lower end bowl will only set you back about 130 or so if you know where to sit and get close.

Some of the season ticket holders I talked to said that the the renewal for season tickets is the same price as last year, so for most of the tickets the prices will remain the same.

Chauncey trade is really blowing up in detroits face. They traded a player that could arguablly be in the MVP race this year, for a player that plays the same position as one of your key players, is on the back end of his career, doesn't play as a team, and now they are letting 20 mil rot on the bench.

Good bye Mo town!

the Leafs are raising prices by 3%

The economy in Michigan is really bad - Red Wings games are nowhere near sellouts - even in the playoffs. Pistons cutting ticket prices is a result of the economy so that more people can afford to buy tickets. It's not really the same thing in Toronto, and with the team in the top-10 attendance, I dont forsee ticket prices being slashed.

Ummmmm.. Leafs tickets sell, no matter how shyte the team is. They won't freeze ticket prices for the Leafs. They're the cash cow for MLSE.

You mean renewal prices for next season is going to remain the same as this year, right? Cause I was a season ticket holder for 3 seasons and the reason why i chose not to renew for this season is because the ticket prices increased to a point where I couldn't afford it for this season

This post has nothing to do with the topic. But as a rebuttal, did it ever occur to you because of the economy in Michigan, the Pistons might not be able to afford Billups and that it was better to get Iverson's contract and have it expire at the end of the year? The way the Pistons are playing right now, they're going to be a tough matchup for whoever they're going to be up against in the playoffs.

sacramento is slashing prices as well (even more drastically). Apparently most teams will decrease season ticket pricing by a lot. Of course, there are always exceptions, and mlse already raised leaf prices for 2010, so don't expect any favors on the bball side ...

As it stands right now I don't think ARCO Arena would fill up even if they started offering tickets for free.
