Why are we choosing again? Because Raptors Republic had this poll?

If I'm correct, Vasquez led the Hornets and Kings to losing records when he started. Not sure how well Patterson did, but I thought pretty good.

I was assuming Kyle stays in T.O. That means we could use a starting PF more than a backup PG. We have to cut Amir's minutes in order to keep him fresh. Him and Pat could share the starting job at PF.

So definitely Patterson.

Squeezy; I can't pass on a high character, high energy 6'6" guard who lead the league in total assists the year he started and really matured as a potential 6th man going forward, Jamal Crawford style. If only for the value of his contract in a trade, I'd take my man G. No disrespect to the Pat Man though, I would hate to let him go nonetheless.

Pat pat reminds me a lot of Morris Peterson, plays with a lot of heart, even through injuries. Stretches the floor and does the little things like rebounding to help you win games.
Vasquez is definitely very vocal about his love for the city but I think Patrick feels the same, just not as flamboyant about it (Mo Pete wasn't the most vocal guy in the locker room either)

Backup point guards are easier to replace for sure than a stretch 4 that rebounds and plays D, Patterson is a more valuable commodity. Plus we don't have a big that can shoot like patman, Amir sure but he takes 5 seconds to prep his shot lol

Love em both but I choose patrick

Patterson actually makes quite a few mistakes on the defensive end; his awareness on that end of the court isn't where it needs to be yet, but he's still very young. I think Ujiri's tries to resign both, but if only one I hope Vasquez.

Seems it's tougher to get good, big men in the league these days - even this so called stacked draft is slim pickings after Embiid and he's already hurt. PP is fairly versatile and he showed his value to the team when he didn't play - the Raps didn't do so hot. If I had to choose, as much as I like GV I feel as a back-up he would be easier to replace than PP. I would only keep him over PP if I knew KL was leaving.

I'd pick Vasquez only if Lowry dips... because that signing will turn into a must. I'd obviously want both back, they are great players and fit the team. Patterson > Amir though, don't care what anybody says... patterson is a better player.

Also one thing to point out... I'm pretty sure Vasquez will be back with the team 100%. He likes Toronto and wants to be here. He was at a Toronto nightclub during the weekend, why? He likes the city and wants to be here. Surprised he wasn't in the Bahamas by now.
