Raptors Peter Vescey puts down Derozan on twitter

I see he's not getting a bee in his bonet about Stevenson getting into fights with his teammates. Rather he goes off on a player he never watches and knows little about. Peter Vescey has always been a tool, but this is ridiculous.

"Frustrated" he couldn't b on floor w "teammates" due to 5 fouls, DD chose 2 sulk on bench rather than join them In huddle...

DD is undeniably talented, but years to come, days, er, now, fact, I pity the people who will be paid to coach and play with him...

I remember at the time thinking That Demar should have supported his team a bit more.

Upset with himself or not, if he considers himself the man and the leader then doing that was a little off.

Second tweet is pure speculation and nothing more than an attempt to get activity on his account.

I watched the game with the NBATV broadcast and Steve Smith said that he should have been in the huddle and as an allstar he needs to set a better example. I agree with what he said and think DD looked like a poor sport sitting alone not cheering on his teammates, especially on camera.

I took it more as DeMar trying to refocus more than not supporting the team. My guess is he just needed a minute to calm himself down.

Does it really matter? He's not apart of the coming plays so he didn't need to be in the huddle. And it's not like he needed a motivation speech, he was doing fine. I don't see a problem at all.

Anyways, anytime I read anything from him it was some wild/toxic/cocky/arrogant/idiotic piece of shit. I think he is retired now.

Peter Vecsey is nothing but a tool looking for attention. His opinion don't mean shit, so it's time to move on.

yeah, that guy is a tool

but demar's behaviour on the court was a bit questionable last game, think there were some posts on the game thread about it as well. Maybe it was frustration, although thinking back to that JV incident a few months ago, with the missed fast break, it will be something to keep an eye in the future.

Clown tweet by vecsey for sure.

Moremilk brings up a good point though - Derozan has had flashes of this. There was one point last game where joe Johnson had him posted up down low. Instead of D'ing him up hard and trying to make a stop, Derozan gave up, let Johnson beat him, fouled him, then screamed at Valanciunas for not coming over for the double. Val should have been there a step sooner yes, but the double isn't a saving grace, it's to add another level of pressure to the pressure that's already coming from good individual man defense. Knowing the double should be there isn't a reason to soften up.

They don't know demar, he was definitely getting into his own zone, and it clearly worked.

In demara defense, ALOT of players do that. I have seen Durant do that many times as well as lebron. Not saying its the right thing, just saying a lot of stars do it.

Vescey is a goof!!! Much like he led the Carter to the Knicks campaign,he's probably positioning himself to campaign for a JR Smith/DeRozan trade in the off season because they're both me first guys ha!

He was big back in the day in the print era but he can't keep up in these social media times...

Believe it or not, alot of teams are afraid that those young Raptors regain some the confidence they used to play with.
