Default In A Perfect World Bosh S&T Means?

Recently i've heard a lot of support for a s&t with the Rockets. I don't see that as an optimal situation for the Raps because Ariza, Scola, Battier are veteran players. Yes, next season the raps would finish with a better record, but none of those players pushes the team into serious contention, and in 2-3 years those players will be shadows of their current worth.

This exercise is VERY unrealistic obviously, because Bosh will choose where he wishes to go, but I don't see why BC can't advocate a certain destination that has significant incentive for the Raps.

So where do you see the Raps gaining the best return on a CB4 S&T?

My opinion is OKC. I don't see why Bosh wouldn't be sold on playing relatively close to home, and on a team that he could elevate to the next level. OKC has a very young team that needs another premier scoring option beside Durant, and Bosh would be a perfect fit.

Jeff Green plays out of position at PF there, and he would fill a huge whole on the raps as a versatile and athletic SF.

So S&T Bosh to OKC for Green + 1st round selection and or Eric Maynor?

I like houston to be honest dude....
Ariza isnt as old as scola or battier so isnt really a veteran like they are, battier is lockdown defender and scola fills the gap that Bosh leaves...obviously he's not as good as Bosh but certainly fills a hole
personally i'd rather have brooks then scola, davis can start and develop quicker because of this, we then have a stud PG, a lockdown defender at SG/SF in battier and a quality impact player in ariza, just need to move turkoglu and jose/jack for pieces and picks and we look pretty good IMO

I think Brooks is not available in any Bosh trade. I understand the worth of Battier/Scola both very solid players, but they don't make this team a playoff contender, neither does Ariza. Rap's will make the playoffs and lose in the first round, second round if they are lucky.

I don't see Davis starting no matter the situation. Not with Amir getting paid what he was.

Houston deal all the way, especially if you can nab a NYL pick as well.

Ariza, expirings would probably be flipped as well, Ariza is good but cannot create for himself so he is expendable.

Amir is a massive role player/first option of the bench when energy is required, we have overpaid amir slightly but he is still young etc and will come good

if brooks isnt available i am not really interested to be honest! although i do really like ariza...although him and demar after that elbow incident?

Brooks would be an excellent fit with the raps, especially if Turk stays - we could run our offense through Hedo. But Houston isn't going to dump their number one option for Bosh, especially with the Yao question marks.

I agree Amir isn't a sure-fire starter, but Davis needs to add weight before he can make an impact against starting PF's.

Ariza's a nice piece IMO because of his defense, but I have serious questions about his ability to score...he shot under 40 percent last year (that's worse than turk)

Ariza is relativley young
Battier is there for the expiring, to teach the wing players and maybe resign next year
Scola isn't a huge drop off from Bosh

OKC's pick will be low and Green and Ariza have almost the same talent

+1

We really don't need Scola(He's already 30) as much because we would have four big men who need their minutes. I don't think it would work and it could possibly effect Davis' development. Brooks would be a much better fit and it would fill in our need at PG. He was considered to be an all-star last year, which is the reason Houston won't give him up with Battier and Ariza. That's asking TOO much. They're basically giving us Scola because he takes Bosh's position and there would be no room for him at the 4 or the 5 with the Rockets.

Bosh, however, indicated through third-party intermediaries he “definitely” would consider the Rockets and specifically cited an interest in playing with Yao Ming and the chance to play on “a world stage,” a person with knowledge of his planning said.

Green is a significantly superior offensive player to Ariza, signified by their FG% (JG 45% - TA 39%). He offers plus-plus defense, and more positional versatility than Ariza. Green has a young Lamar Odom's game, with a higher ceiling, while Ariza will never be a top three offensive option.

Battier and Scola are insignificant to making this team a contender because they are veteran complementary players (albeit good ones). Acquiring them means less minutes for developing players (Davis/Bargs/Johnson/Alabi/Derozon/Weems) and less salary cap space.

It is simply a matter of, do you build a team too contend, or to make the playoffs.

Other potential packages better & I don't want Scola would be in a S&T and he would get much more than he would in the open market.

The absolute best S&T is Bosh for Griffin.
