Saw this on his twitter page, didn't know he did these, hopefully more are to come. Some interesting stuff in here.

Toronto is a great city – I had no idea it was the fourth largest city in North America. The people here are great and have been extremely nice. I have been trying to explore as much as I can but the winter here is brutal! People rave about the spring and especially the summer, how lively the city becomes, so I am definitely looking forward to that.

Transitioning to a new team can sometimes be tough, but this whole process has gone really smoothly. I already feel comfortable in the system and have the faith and confidence of the coaches and teammates. An added plus is that I’m around a great bunch of guys including a few fellow Kentucky alums like our head coach, so it’s nice to be around the Kentucky brotherhood again.

One of the coolest things about the trade is that the Raptors were playing in Washington D.C. very soon after I joined the team, and that is where my mom’s side of the family is from. I haven’t seen some of them in a long time so I just really wanted to play my best. When the game was over, I could hear people yelling down the hallway and I already knew it was them. I turned the corner and there were about 30 – 35 of my family members grabbing my teammates for pictures as they walked by, and they went into a big uproar when they saw me. Just to be able to see them and play well for them meant so much to me.

I can't believe he's 24.

His mustache and even his game is a throw-back to the early-mid 90s, Karl Malone days so when I see him play; in my mind he's like 40.

Yeah, seriously, I had no idea he was only 24 to tell the truth! I knew he only came in the league a few years ago but man he seriously looks to be in his early 30s and his game is as polished as some veterans in this league!

He's a keeper that is for sure.

His game kinda reminds me of Paul Millsap, as does his production compared to Millsap's early in his career. Obviously he's more perimeter oriented, but definitely a very well rounded PF, just like Millsap. At the very least, he'll be a very good first big off the bench, and I could definitely see him developing into a nice starting PF. He's a much better rebounder and help defender than I thought he would be. Develop that post game a little more and he could be a very good fit alongside JV longterm.

He looks to me like a great guy to have on the court and in the locker room. It looks like he was coached well and if he continues to play this way it's gonna be hard not to start him over Amir.

Masai couldn't have picked any better players to fit into this crew than the ones he did, the dude knows how to build a team, no doubt.

I think he'll at least get the QO unless he's dealt at/around the deadline. Also - never a bad thing when a player speaks well about the city and organization.

he'd better not, amir is a much better defender. I don't think I've seen PP block a shot yet in Toronto - he's a good perimeter/p&r defender, because he's quick, but he's too undersized to be an effective interior defender.

and his offense is much more needed off the bench, we have enough gunners in the starting 5 ...

Amir is better suited as the first big off the bench imo. Said that this summer. That being said, until we get a stud PF in here then starting him doesn't hurt us.

You guys are down on Amir because he's been in a big slump since mid-december. When he's healthy and on his game he's by far the best big we have, both offensively and defensively. The only thing PatPat has on him is perimeter shooting; which is why he's actually best suited to coming off the bench - you establish your post/interior presence first and then open things up with a stretch four.

Amir is hurt most likely. Typical "what have you done for me lately" syndrome is going on right now.

I agree with you man. Amir has been the perfect picture of consistency for the last few years imo. I think he's hurting too. Which isnt too surprising when you consider he was playing on two sprained ankles a year or two ago.
