Default over/under - Raptors v LAKERS

Welcome to Super_Size_Swag's World!

Take your shot at dethroning him in a game of over/under!

This season you will be asked to make two choices. One for either the over or under, and one for how the Raptors will fare against the spread. If you're right on the over/under, then you'll get a bonus point for making the right pick vs. the spread.

I will use the numbers as posted by the Las Vegas Sports Consultants whenever possible, and I will try to post the choices at least 24 hours in advance, as often as possible.

The big question: Will the combined score go over or under 208.5?

Bonus point question:Will the LAKERS WIN by more than -8.5-or NOT?

NOTE:make sure you choose one of the top two selections, and one of the bottom two selections, for a total of two choices, before hitting the submit button. Only the choices submitted in the poll will be counted.

for information on the playoff format - see here - LINK

Seriously if Bargs play this good while injured I say he should be injured all the time to release all his potential. Pain release anger to players in a bad way but also in a good way. When I saw Barg limping I was like crap that can't be too good then he went Berserk on NJ like he's a whole new person

here's the rules i set out at the beginning - LINK

Quote:
In the case of ties - the player with the higher number of o/u points will move ahead. If a tie still exists for the top spot, or the final qualifying spot, there will be a tie-breaker involving all the over/unders of all NBA games the following night, with entries done by PM to me only. Guesses of the final scores in those games will be used, if needed to break any ties after that.
So I'll be sending out messages to

J-Bo 13 7 20
pzabby 13 7 20
Raehon 13 7 20
raptorsfan345 13 7 20

and give them the over/unders on all the games tomorrow. Whoever does best on those will get that last qualifying spot for the playoffs.

So what happens when you make top 10 for this round? Are you guaranteed a spot for the playoffs?

Here are the rules again

Quote:
Last year we split the season in two and the top 12 from each half made it to the playoff round. When the same people made it into the top 12 spots for each half, I did some tricky figuring to delete the lower of the two scores and allow another player's score to be counted in it's place, so that there would be a total of 24 going into the playoffs.

This season I'd like to split the season into three parts, and have the top ten make it into the playoffs. If there are duplicate placings, it's just going to mean fewer competitors in the playoffs. I would guess that there would be 20-25 players advancing at the end of the regular season.

The top score in each of the 3 rounds in the regular season will win a bonus point that gets carried over to the playoff round. And a bonus point will be awarded to any player that makes an additional top 10 finish beyond their initial qualifying finish.

I will not be included in the playoff rounds. I'll only play along for my own amusement, and take my name out of the standings at the end of each round in the reg. season.

The first round will consist of 28 games and end on DECEMBER 19 following the 1pm game against the Lakers.

The second round will consist of 27 games and end on FEBRUARY 13 following the 6pm game against the Clippers.

The third round will consist of 27 games and end on APRIL 13 following the game against the Heat.

GOOD LUCK

there's actually two more rounds

a few people made a good push at the end and just came up short.

for those that make the ten that advance, there is still an incentive to keep playing, with a bonus point going into the playoffs available for each extra round that you make the top ten, and for each duplicate there will be one fewer competitor in the playoff round, so the odds will improve for those who make it.
