Other teams injuries good for raptors?

Crazy stuff:

LINK - Pierce out indefinately

LINK - Camby Injured

LINK - Ariza Injured

Well, to start off, catching the Celtics is an acheivable goal, but now with pierce out it may be even more achievable.

And now with Camby possibly out for Portland (we play today) and Ariza possibly out for next weeks game, we seem to have maybe hit a small bit of good fortune.

Hope the raps can take advantage.

I don't think Ariza makes a huge difference either way. I'd never take a win against Houston as a given, but I wouldn't wave the white flag either.

I thought from the start that the Celtics were going to have to fight through injury and fatigue. Ray Allen is playing like a teenager right now though. I'm not sure how long that Jesus Shuttleworth flashback continues.

the Pierce one has me feeling good all over - both as a Raptor fan and as a total Celtic hater.

I'm most interested to see if Nate kills the chemistry in Boston altogether. Combine him with injury and fatigue, and Ray might start wishing he'd been traded.

As for us playing those teams... we couldn't beat boston with Pierce, Garnett and Rondo out... not sure how this helps. It's a mixed blessing playing injured teams... on the one hand sometimes they rise up and are harder to beat, and we might be more inclined to take them for granted but also it doesn't do our record any service to beat up on injured teams in terms of knowing where we stand.

It only really helps Raptors if

A. They sneak into 4th somehow and obtain Home Court
B. The team the face in the playoffs is still injured in the playoffs.

Leave it to Mr. Obvious to point that one out.

Also, sad that Pierce is out. One of the best scores in celtics history his is. Wow its just amazing for some people to think of him in that nature.

This team wasn't playing as well as they are now. Raps have way more chemistry....

I've worn my Celtic hate in my avatar all season. I hated that Nate Robinson went there and i think he will be awesome in Boston though he may hurt their defence a little.

Camby being out will be huge for us tonight. Length always kills our offence and he would of hurt us bad. I'd rather see Roy play over Camby. Portland has no real center to speak of because all three are injured. Bargs and Rasho should have a great game as will Jack with his ability to attack the basket. Good game to have Belli play in also.

I dunno, I think with pierce out and KG and Ray Allen getting old, plus fitting in Nate could be tought for them down the stretch. Its possible.

In the case of the Celtics, with Pierce out, the Celtics will still be our daddy. They played without KG, Pierce and Rondon last time out and still beat us soundly.

The Rockets are stuggling and Ariza doesn't make much of a difference. They're gritty and shouldn't be underestimated.

Camby is injured and they might be thin up front, but I have a feeling that Roy will dominate this game, and we might have a tough time with Bayless.
