The one I posted was the one they were advertising on NBA TV during the playoffs.

Even though that's not the video that the OP wanted to see...thanks so much for posting this!

That was very well done, and I'm glad I got to relive some of those moments. A few things I really liked/noticed about the video:

-I really like the "changing of the guard" angle, from Bird/Magic to MJ. It really shows the competitiveness that fueled/fuels them
-Nice tribute to Chuck Daly. Amazing for a coach to be able to handle all of those egos back then. It would have been a tougher job than it looked.
-I love seeing Charles Barkley walk around town at all hours of the night. That's what I would have done back then too.
-Being around high level competition, I really liked seeing the best in the world. I liked how MJ walked around the olympic stadium to get inspiration from all the past athletes.
-Wouldn't it have been cool to have been Chrisian Laettner?
-I like how Stockton didn't get noticed walking around in public
-Even though there was a bit of "americana" placed in to that, it still was an amazing experience. I liked how they showed that it helped basketball grow to what it is today, and helped fuel the international game (nice Bargnani cameo, too). Some people have this debate about sports all of the time, but even if the best whoops other teams, you still eventually end up with a better product, as other teams want to get to that point...that's the point of sports, to be the best, and compete against the best.

I suggest that everybody - of any age - watch this, to either relive those times, or see where our roots (in basketball) come from (especially before it's taken down from youtube) :) Thanks again for posting!

The best part of the Dream Team is that Zeke wasn't on it

sloppi 06-14-2012 05:40 PM

"The other dream team" won't come out on dvd till the end of the year. it should be in theatres this summer (though i don't really know who would go to watch a documentary).

Nites 06-15-2012 02:23 AM

It's funny how Stockton was able to walk on the streets of Barcelona without anyone recognizing him.

halphbreedballer 06-15-2012 09:52 AM

Watchin that video gave me chills again...
Something I haven't felt since Jordan was on the Bulls & VC was playing out of his mind while on the Raptors.

I hope some how the Raps find some way to find a Jem of a player.

Also I miss those days when there were dominant C's Robinson, Hakim & Ewing those were truly great times...

Stonezz 06-15-2012 12:54 PM

All the links are down now :(
