anyone else here getting a little tired of the perpetual raps fan oscillation?

we win and it's golden. there are flaws identified, but there's optimism, there's confidence, there's humour and fun and people are enjoying themselves.

we lose and it's nightmare time. everyone has to be traded or fired, there is no hope for the future unless everything changes, every flaw is put under a magnifying glass, it's tragedy, no one is happy, people start insulting each other and throwing barbs.

and this could happen in back to back games/nights.

anyone who has watched basketball should know that it is a game of runs. in the game there are runs. in the season there are runs. you win some, you lose some, especially if your team is not a top calibre team.

but we know the raps aren't top calibre. they weren't expected to be, and frankly it's pretty tough to become that. we're still a playoff team, and i think we have to see what happens over the long haul.

calling for destruction of the team after one loss just seems incredibly impatient to me. do we have to do this after every loss?

Trane I think personally its always been like that you just decided to post about your feelings. I don't get it either it drives me up the wall. Personally I'll go to another legnth and try to use the Raptors to talk about NBA issues rather than dwell on the raptors.

Am I like the fans? Yes I am somewhat about a month and a half ago I thought the Raptors were nothing about an 8th place or worst team. More importantly I thought I was going to lose my over 38.5 bet.

I personally didn't like the Triano bashing, don't hear much about Bargs as he is obviously growing into a pretty dam good player and the Raptors IMHO I'm glad they got out of their little funk.

After all they went through .500 isn't bad and after January it'll get a little better for them.

THe Raptors are what they are and we all have to remember they are still handicapped for the fact they haven't won much their first 15 years.

Get away from it and stay away from the short term posts. Try to talk more long term maybe that will work. I really don't know what more to say thats Message Boards for you.

I think moderation is not a widely-dispersed quality amongst sports fans.

As the old man around here, I have to say I remember how being a fan taught me how to look at the big picture and gain a sense of moderation through much of the thrills of victory and agonies of defeat. People get too much of their own identity from the teams and players they cheer for nowadays. It's too bad.

It's like this with every fanbase in the NBA. Shit go to a Magic board or Celtic board when they lose. It's pretty crazy and they're elite teams. It is what it is.

Sports fans can sometimes be bi-polar!

Yes - and I remember debating whether or not Reggie Jackson was a douchebag on the internet.

Believe me - people once put stuff behind them much quicker. Coaches and players still got run out of town, but it took a hell of a lot longer to get to that point, than it does today.

did someone just post a sin graph? lol

Anyways, totally agree 'Trane. We're playing good basketball... lost a game to probably the best team in the league, and we were with them neck and neck.

No worries guys, we'll smash indiana tomorrow!!
