I just want him to look confident out there and knock down all the open shots he gets. For a guy who is supposed to be a shooter his percentages and jumpshot are embarrassing. Maxiell shoots a better % from midrange than he does.

AGREED! no matter if he scores 15ppg, or 5ppg, i just want that FG% at 45%, at the 4 or 5 if he shoots like an inefficient 2 guard (i.e. the 40% he shot this year) hes a waste

What i meant was,the way he plays is in his hands. He has to come out with more agression and more confidence which was lacking last season. If he improves his numbers significantly then the Raptors can sustain an injury to O'neal and/or Bosh for 20 games but if he flounders and the injury bug hits they're in trouble.

o that will suck for the raps if JO or CB4 goes down with an injury and Bargs isnt playing well the raps will suck. but if you look at the celts when KG got injured the celts sill won

The season comes down to two things:

1)Health- O'Neal needs to play at least 60+ games
2)Bargnani-needs to improve his numbers (15PPG/6RPG).IMO the points are certainly possible but the rebounds might be tough unless he's much improved.

I don't think Jermaine needs to play that many for the Raptors to make the playoffs if Bargnani turns his game around. Big if, I know. I think the Raptors are a .500 team without Jermaine and a +50 win team with him.

12 and 3.5 is almost worse than last season ... I think he will average around 14 and 6 with better shooting percentages. His minutes will probably stay the same, or even a little higher.

It will be interesting to see which combination will suit him better, O'Neal or Bosh. Normally you'd expect him to play better with O'Neal, since it complements him better, but we'll see if that's actually the case.

Getting away from the pressure of being the team's C will do Bargs wonders

I predict 15ppg next year.

Without JO in the lineup,we miss the playoff IMO.Without a legit Centre backing him up,less depth on the bench with Rasho gone,Delfino,T.J (legit back up PG) gone and presuming Kapono exits the bench and starts. If JO goes out, than you have Bargnani/Humphries/Jawai (Not exactly great Centres). Then it becomes Bosh alone again with everyone hoping/praying that Bargnani can score and rebound consistently.

We need Bargs to step up. It's as simple as that. If he can step it up, and with our big three playing as expected, then we will be a very successful team this season.

by the looks of everyones expectations, Bargs will be front running for 6th man of the year. i highly doubt that. i think his numbers are going to be around the same. it looks like we're going to have a 3 man rotation between our 4 and 5 positions, so any way you look at it, Bargs is going to be secondary to both o'neal and Bosh on the offensive end.

That's what i think as well. 15PPG and i think he'll improve to roughly 6 RPG as well.
