But it's so common place, that no one raises an eyebrow anymore.
NBA will even include drives of Wade and LeBron, carrying the ball or taking extra steps in the highlights!
Eat up and shut up!
the refs are so 1 sided for Miami that last night's TSN worst play of the day involved Bosh missing a wide open dunk, which is a terrible enough play in itself, but the rest of the play involves Harden getting called for fouling Bosh even though he wasn't even close to Bosh, its so blatant that even a tv channel used it in their broadcast

After the Utah game, I am convinced that something must be done with the officiating against the Raptors. BC must start making waves with the league office. I don't care whether this is a conspiracy or a simple lack of respect - it must be fixed.

Linas Kleiza doesn't get enough respect from the refs. He makes aggressive takes to the basket but the official loaft on blowing the whistle. DeRozan has been getting less calls since he sign his extension, well it seems that way to me.

This was a horrible lopsided refereeing!

Can those referees be reviewed? Felt like they were paid to let Indiana come back

I'm convinced Hansbrough had something going there with the Refs..He was fking body checking players and getting away it.

That's basketball. It's not the refs they needed to go at - it was the Pacers. Somebody needed to pay Hansbrough back on the other end. Both teams were desperate and the officials let them go to war.

i think you're mistaking this game for a hockey game
pay back on the other end? that's just silly, especially when you know doing a pay back move as a raptor will only get you a foul and nothing on the other end from the refs after

I didn't catch all of the game and it's being replayed now so when should I check to see some more bad calls?

Yep, the Indy game, win and all, was yet another argument in support of the Raps getting the short end of the striped stick.

Unfortunately I missed the early part of the fourth, but I have to say that the no call on Hansbrough jumping into Jose is the worst no-call I've ever seen; it was on a break, there were few players around, and at least two refs were right there. Jose is a reasonable guy and even he had his hands up in frustration the whole next possession and into the timeout you could see him shaking his head and venting to Casey "WTF was that?"

I guess just chalk that one up with the no and-1 on DeMar's insane off-glass floater while getting mauled in double OT yesterday and the no offensive on West's forearm right into AB for the easy bucket on opening night. :cookie:

It's hilarious to see a player like Hansbrough get the benefit of the doubt every time because he "plays hard" but DD drives his ass off and get no calls.

Hansbrough could have been called for 6 fouls in the 4th quarter alone yesterday.

What frustrates me almost as much as the bad reffing is Casey not taking a tech for his team. He needs to get mad and stand up for the boys.

i don't like to blame the refs. Sometimes i think there are missed calls that don't go our way, but whatever you ask fans of pretty much any of the lesser teams that keep losing and they'll say the exact same thing.

The thing that annoys me about the officiating and our team is how devlin calls pretty much any missed Raptors drive to the basket which always involves a comment about how there's no call or how there's no foul or whatever. don't like it.

i'm sorry man, that comment is just flat-out BS.

that is not basketball and we DID go hard back at them!

Our Paint D was great in the 4th Q and we stopped them scoring and got the rebs. Indiana went to the line a fair few times and it really helped them come back. The calls on that end were pretty fair. The calls going the other way were totally fucking outrageous. Hansbrough committed at least 2, possibly 3 DEFINITE fouls and there were 3 or 4 others that should've been called, i'd have accepted 4 calls out of that 6 or 7 fouls coz liked you said the refs were letting them go at it a bit.

4 more trips to the line! game over.

All I want is for BC or Larry to step up and send detailed tapes of both Utah and Indiana games to the league's office, with comments on every missed foul on our team. Yes, Cuban might have been fined a lot in the past for criticizing the zebras, but don't tell me that didn't turn the tide on fouls not called in Dallas' favor.

Half of the problem is how the refs in the NBA have an aura of being beyond reproach. I've seen (what's his name, the coach of the NY Rangers?) lampoon refs in the post-game and not get fined (although he has been before). Same goes with baseball; it's completely legitimate to be upset over poor balls/strikes calls, etc. in the post-game interviews. Shit, in the MLB you can put a game under protest.

And it's not like the league has never acknowledged mistake; remember in that crazy Utah/OKC game where D-Will clearly hit Durant's hand on the last shot without a call and then a day later the League issued a statement on NBA.com that it should have been called? I'd at least like some recognition like that. For God's sake the hit on Jose was a travesty. When I saw it I didn't even get upset - it was dumbfounding. :cookie:

They need to be a little more lax about referee criticism. They can say all they want about how NBA refs are the best in the world and how the pace is so far that split-second decisions have to be made, but I've seen enough hockey to know that that's just as fast and with a hell of a lot more contact and calls seem to be much more accurate on the whole. Oh, and superstar calls don't really exist.

I would kill to get some NCAA/FIBA/D-League refs to officiate a few NBA games a year. Things would be a lot different I'd bet.
