Hey Bankiz, you've got some good trade thoughts, I want to know what you think it would take to get Anthony Davis.

i'm not decide, if we must take another pick this year or not. because if the goal is the playoffs next season, and season after that, than maybe it's time to think about player whom can help you.
but in the same time you need also youngs whom can become big factor for the futur. because trade can't alone give you what you need.

some examples of trade i think about those last weeks (if none of thpse teams grab the top 3 picks) :
1.
Phoenix get barg + Kleiza + 2nd rd indy 2012
toronto get 1st PHX 2012 + Dudley + Morris + Frye.

PHX will resign nash immediatly, because a front court of kleiza + Barg + Gortat give them a solid scoring punch, and 3 guy whom nash can dish the ball easly.

we grab a starter SF with dudley, a vet PF with frye whom can space the floor and shoot the 3, and morris + the pick are youngs asset for the futur. (Marshall + T jones)

caldy/marshall - DD/forbes - Dudley/JJ/Morris - Davis/amir/T. Jones - JV/Gray/Frye

2.
Portland get barg
toronto get 1st NJN + 1st portland + williams

Portland get immediatly better, and with LA they have a frontcourt for many years. they can resign batum and a PG who will be williang to lead this team (nash will be nice for them, but even felton can do the job with so much power)
we get some assets in the process.

3.
SAS get barg + caldy + 2*2nd rd 2012
Toronto get parker + Joseph + Blair

SAS will do it for the futur(they need to thing about that now before Duncan retire.
and caldy will create more capspace next summer for them.
we get a legit pg starter, and a great leader (more winning experience than caldy) and Blair as a starter PF or Backup is a nice catch. and we keep our 1st. and we open 4M more on capspace. (Not a bad trade for us. and a solid one for SAS i suppose)

You would have to make an insane offer to get him. We're talking Bargnani, DD, our first, another first and/or Ed Davis would probably get you the pick. It would take a trade stupid on our end, regardless of real value.

Bargnani, DD, Ed, 8th pick for 1st pick. I'd do it.

It depends a bit on what salary is coming back. But I think I'd do it.

If Charlotte gets the #1 pick

Bargs, DD, ED, 8th

for

Kemba, #1

Then, maybe i would do it. We would certainly have a crap load of money to sign players. Amnesty Jose then offer 12Mil to Batum and 10Mil to Dragic. Or keep Jose and go after Batum and Gordon, wich is imo the better option...

Dragic/Kemba
FA?/Forbes
Batum/JJ/Kleiza
Davis/Amir/JJ
Joval/Gray/Amir

or

Jose/Kemba
Gordon/Forbes
Batum/JJ/Kleiza
Davis/Amir/JJ
Joval/Gray?/Amir

The thing to do after that is to make an offer to Batum that Portland won't match, and negotiate with Portland to do a S+T for Jose, so they get the PG they need on a short contract, leaving you with lots of cap room to go after a PG and SG, and you already have your SF. Kleiza or JJ can go the other way if they need another piece in the S+T (and would free up a little more cap space).

didn't think a sign and trade could be completed on an offer sheet already signed.

True. However, it doesn't mean much in reality. If all three parties agree (player, original team, and signing team) an offer sheet can be rescinded - and this would occur pretty much only in the case where the teams have reached an agreement on a S+T. As such, this is a fairly common practice - signing an expensive offer sheet to put pressure on the original team to negotiate in S+T talks, then rescinding the offer once the trade is agreed to. Generally, if a team is pursuing this avenue, the player's agent is kept very much in the loop, and so the player is not concerned he will lose out on salary if he agrees to the rescinding of the offer sheet. In fact, I fully expect the paperwork for the rescinding of the offer sheet and the paperwork for the trade itself are filed to the league at the same time, for the peace of mind of all parties involved.

Makes sense. I'd love to see us chase Batum.

1.
Milwaukee get barg + 2*2nd rd 2012
Toronto get 1st MIL 2012 (9th) + jennings + LMBM

2. draft Marshall + Sullinger.
Marhsall for his skill at pg, and sullinger because he is a dominant frontcourt scorer whom has a NBA-ready-body at 285pds for a pf at 6'9. (A Z'BO like)

3. summer
a. Calderon + 1st toronto 2013 (Top 10 protected)
for
Batum (11M)+ williams
b. LMBM for tpe (with all their capspace this summer they can create one)

Jennings/Marshall
DD/E.Williams
Batum/JJ/Kleiza
Davis/amir/sullinger
Gray/JV/Magz

we will still have big money to spend on FA like barbosa. (a7.6M tpe from barbosa trade and a 5M from the lmbm trade + our capspace)

Interesting Bankiz. However, I doubt Milwaukee give up Jennings + their 9th pick. They love Jennings. Also, why would we have Jennings and Marshall? + Gray wouldn't be needed - start Sullinger because he has the most offensive skills on the team. Sullinger + JonasV, with Amir and ED off the bench. All 4 of those young bigs could grow together and bring out the best in each other as they compete for minutes.

another thinking one :

1. draft night
Orlando get Calderon + 2nd rd tor 2012
SAS get Barg + 1st toronto 2012 + 1st orlando 2012 + Kleiza
TOR get Parker + redick + duhon

P Mills seems to fit well in their system. so parker can be trade for the right price. and bringing there a solif PF would help not to rebuild all the team when Duncan will retire. Because barg/splitter can be a solid frontcourt.

2. summer
with parker on the team, make him push batum to come here. offer him 12M. we need to renonce our tpe, but we can do it.

or even make a S&T : tpe (we create) + 1st toronto 2013 for batum (12M)

Parker/bayless/duhon
DD/redick/2nd rd indy 2012
Batum/JJ/Anderson
Davis/Amir/FA (Dorsey)
Gray/JV/Magz

if we take dorsey, as he is a rfa for us, we can resign him and be above the cap without a problem, likewise for bayless, gray, magz and anderson.

this team will make the playoffs next season, and maybe for some more.

Parker is great but he will be a Spur for life and I don't think he'd resign here.

Why marshall :
becauseyou don't pass on a pg like that, and if the jennings experience don't work out, you can trade himhe will be a RFA next summer. and so marshall could take over in 2013-2014, where he sould be more ready.

why Gray:
because you never have enough solid big men. likewise for Magz. and don't read too much in stat for those 2. whay they bring can change a game for us. like sometimes Magz did it this season for us. and vet are important for the growth of our young bigs.

for the MIl trade, maybe we can give them JJ to sweet this trade. butthey need more a solid pf scorer than a guard (they have solid ones : ellis, levingston, udrih) and capspace wise, that allow them to trade Ily in a sign and trade. to get a large tpe (7-10M).

sometimes people critise me for not taking the other teams side. but by this trade i think that open some doors for MIL.
