Regardless that's irrelevant to the fact he can play both positions.

well, whenever the question arises over what position a player plays - I apply the tweener rule. Same goes to Perry Jones III.

LOL fair enough. IMO Ersan is a 3 that plays as a stretch 4 on the Buck's. He is capable of playing both positions which doesn't make him a tweener IMO but versatile.

Well, Ersan does everything you ask plus more, so why not create a frontcourt that will be 6-10, 7-0 and 7-0 with massive match-up issues for other teams.

Ersan played between 0 and 1% of the Bucks' SF minutes. No idea if he can, but he hasn't to this point.

So you think Ersan is in the: JSmoove,LO,Marion,Crash,W.Chandler territory of guys who could play SF to make up for Bargs' deficiencies?

I just don't like what BC has done with long - term contracts.

Wait, if Ersan is playing his best ball as a stretch 4 on the bucks, why would we want him to play SF? Shouldn't we analyze him when he plays strictly as a SF. UNLESS he's Bargs' replacement (which I wouldn't mind)

- His ability to play the stretch 4 is exactly how the Raps need to have him play as the SF here.

If the guy has played his best ball at PF, and has played PF this year, then shouldn't he continue to play his best ball at that position? (The position where's he's had the most success).

that's like saying Bargnani can play the 3 here. You haven't taken into account that Ilyasova won't be able to guard traditional SFs at all. You believe that he can be a 3 solely on the fact that he can hit 3s, and rebound at his position (the 4). I'm definitely not sold that he can defend quicker players outside the 4 spot.

Ah no. Nothing of the sort/
I listed Ersan's strengths and thats it. Bargs can't guard the 3 because his game doesn't match up well and the Raps had no clue of defense at the time.

um....why? He doesn't play the 4 like a traditional 4, he plays like a mix 3-4 hence why I like his game when paired to Bargs. Simple. No other reason. On other teams I might say he's better suited as a 4 and others maybe a 3. Hard to say, just looking at the stregths and weaknesses of the Raps' players and if Ersan's strengths/weaknesses can blend in well.

say wha?

if I put Ilyasova's name in the bolded part, it'd make the same amount of sense wouldn't it?

1. before draft :
Sac get D Harris + 2nd rd utah 2012 + 2nd rd indy 2012
Utah get Calderon
Toronto get Evans + Garcia

sac get a vet pg to lead their young team.
Urah get a pg to lead their team, really lead them.
we get a young pg whom has potential but need a change, and a vet SG coming of the bench, whom also is a great lockeroom teammate leader.

2. we draft Marshall

3. summer
portland get Barg + 1st toronto 2013
Toronto get Batum + 1st portland 2012 (whom ever they pick at 11 - exemple : Sullinger)

Evans/Marshall/FA or Uzoh
DD/Garcia/2nd rd tor 2012
Batum/JJ/Kleiza
Davis/Amir/Sullinger
JV/Gray/Alabi

a young team alright, but those guys are good fit for casey sytem, and that will be a team build for years to come.

I think they'd be willing to move Evans, but I don't think an older, overpaid PG is what they had in mind. Not enough value for them. Second rounders have little to no value when it comes to trades.

because Marshall would need to learn how to shoot before been a treat.
you can be a deadly passer when defender fear you can shoot. not before that.
it's why caldy has sace to operate. everybody knows he can shoot from anywhere.

but to be fair the dragic deal is not a good one. Maybe bayless can handle the pg for one or two years untl marshall is ready, and maybe for cheaper than dragic.

so in fact
1. we draft Marshall
2. we extend bayless (5M/4years)
3.
Noh get Kleiza + 1st toronto 2013
Portland get ariza + Calderon + 2nd rd 2013
toronto get batum (10M) + E williams

Bayless/Marshall/2nd rd 2012
DD/Williams/forbes
Batum/JJ/2nd rd 2012
Bargs/Davis/Amir
JV/Gray/alabi

we go with that, and before the deadline we make some adjustment if neccesary.
