Gordon will absolutely get more than 7M.... I'm not a huge fan, but it's fairly obvious he is well-regarded around the league. I thought injuries were more of a concern as well, but he's only had one knee surgery and he's still super young.

And I still don't think Gordon will get more than 7Mil. Then again it's the NBA so 10Mil isn't out of the question.
In your trade its Davis + 2nd + cash for a mid 1st rounder. I think thats sure an awful lot just for a mid first rounder as well. And there is no saying that player will be more serviceable than Davis. Nene is a really nice big man whose not afraid of contact, but hes what 32? And he has a pretty heavy contract.

I would consider doing this though.
Bargnani, Davis, Bayless + our 5th/6th pick for xxx + 2nd pick (MKG/Lamb). And if that 2nd pick nets us Drummon or Davis I am not sure if we can pass up on that

Davis and a 2nd rounder (which means little) is not that much imo. The cash might be too much though i agree. You wouldn't do Davis/2nd for the 15th pick?

Nene is 29 and yes his contract is stupid but i still say that lineup is pretty good and would be the best lineup we've had since 2002. I understand not liking the Nene trade though. lol

Davis was a 13th pick.... I think you're looking at this draft and falling in love with potential..... guys in that range are not sure things, so it's far from a guarantee that you'd do better than Davis with the 15th pick.

Well no, its not that Davis is a crappy player at all. He is a clear 10/10 player and maybe even a possible 12/10 player with around 2 block constant in a few years. Im sure everybody will want to have a player like him. Right now Davis is capable of easily getting 7+ rebounds and around 5 pts with his minutes. And there is no saying that the 15th pick is going to be more serviceable to us than Davis. So would I do Davis + 2nd rounder for 15th? Probably not, unless there was a player in that range whom we really wanted that I feel can help us

to me, NÚNÚ isn't such overvaluable than Barg.
so why take a bigman, whom we will have to pay more than Barg ?

and i would not take robinson at this price. he is not a monster at pf.
not eiher that better than ed davis in fact.

we give up two of our starter, and the ones maybe we should keep as key piece trought our rebuilding process.

I wouldn't trade our pick for jennings, and that Detroit trade, it reminds me of when I was a kid and I had a bunch of Pokemon cards, this one dude wanted to trade me for a really good one and he offered me like 50 shitty ones, most were fake too. Quantity < Quality, therefore Detroit wouldn't do that.

Jennings is just hype, I'd rather keep bayless for cheap, very similar players.

I'd never even dream of giving our pick up for Jennings...

I'm trying to calculate how long Portland could keep a straight face before they burst out laughing at this offer.

Haywood is an amnesty possibility and you're going to trade him for a young enticing wing man?

It's still not anywhere near enough for Portland. That pick likely wouldn't be a lottery pick.

draft Drummond, sign a PG by FA, resign Alan Anderson

Bayless/PG FA

Drummond, JJ, Kleiza can play some 4 as well if necessary. Sign Barbosa if he wants to come back here

That's a crazy looking wing tandem, but neither of those deals would be taken by the other team. Memphis is married to Gasol and Randolph already, nowhere for Bargs to play. 76ers would be inclined to be trading for a big if they're letting Iggy go, so I don't see why they'd be interested in that deal.

I'm just gonna say this to relieve this nervous tick, but as I (and others) have mentioned dozens of times before, in this thread and others, you cannot combine a TPE and a player in a trade.

I was thinking Memphis would want to get rid of Gay's contract so they can add some more depth to their team and resign Mayo as well. Maybe make it so that Memphis gets DeRozan and Caldy, then we use the rest of the cap to make the trade work financially?

Then trade Bargs for a top 5 pick and get Beal or Lamb

1. Before the Draft :
Detroit get Bargnani + 2nd round indy 2012
spurs get stuckey + Kleiza + 1st DET 2012
Toronto get Parker

2. draft pick toronto (6th)
We draft Barnes

3. draft night
Portland get Calderon + Forbes
toronto get Mathews + 1st Portland 2012 + tpe (1.2M)

with the 12th pick we draft Marshall.

Parker/Uzoh/Marshall
DD/Mathews/2nd round (K.Joseph)
JJ/Barnes/Anderson
Davis/Amir/FA
JV/Gray/Alabi or Magloire

we will still have money to spend if we want to upgrade at some position.
but we end barg-caldy era and can properly rebuild.
with that configuration and the no-use of the tpe, we would have capspace to absorb the extension of JJ and DD next season. that leave us with flexibily again next summer.

2. summer :
