no i fully understand.

And the comparison in anyway shape or form to jose is bad.

Jose is known for being careful and for taking care of the ball, making the safe play and for being a solid shooter, bad defender, not very fast from side to side, cant really change speeds.

Rubio was seen as a very solid defender and flashy passer with a bad shot coming into the nba.

Only real comparison between the two is they are both solid teammates. And both spaniards.

they're comparable talents... if you don't think so, I'd say you're overvaluing Ed Davis.

They're not comparable talents. Casspi, at best, is the 3rd or 4th guy off the bench. He's slow, he has difficulties creating his own shot, he has very slow release, and he's a poor defender.

Davis can be a starter in this league as a rebounder and defensive 4, potentially developing into a more athletic version of Kris Humphries. At worst, he's the first big man off the bench on most teams.

that's absolutely debatable. They're both decent young prospects.

I'm gonna bring this thread back to life:

NBA Trade Machine - ESPN

Plus we get one of Utah's picks.

Essentially for us it's:
Out
Jose Calderon
DeMar DeRozan

In
Tyreke Evans
1st Rounder UTAH (Currently sitting at 14th)

Fairly reasonable if you ask me.

That would be a win for the raps. Also, you could insert any PG and that backcourt would be better than Jose/DD. Bayless/Tyreke, Nash/Tyreke, Dragic/Tyreke. I'd take any of those three, hell, even Felton/Tyreke.

Could we do this deal with Ed instead of Demar? We need more wing depth. Are Ed and Demar not in the same tier?
