Not necessarily, he was known since last year being the first North American born Chinese. So his name has been out there. Then this year he was in the dleague and was having triple double games, sorta reminds me of a pape sow who had like 30 and 30 while he was there. So you wouldnt of known if he would be able to translate that to NBA speed. Sorta like how Pape was garbage once he came back to us
So knicks took the chance giving him starting mins since they were in big need of a PG and vola thus born a player with bandwagoners

after the 1st march :

SAS gets Andersen + fernandez + bayless
Denver gets barbosa
toronto gets paker

SAS gets a big men who can guard the paint. a sg with some scoring abilities, who i think can be great in the POP system. and bayless as their point guard give them a young version of parker.
bayless+fernandez= 5.5M expiring. so that give them more room to operate next season and upgrade their roster. (if they dond't want fernandez they get 1st DEN 2012)

Denver gets an impact player who like to run, and will be like a fish in the ocean. and a big expiring for them. (7.4M expiring more to upgrade their roster)

toronto gets a starter pg.

parker/caldy/2nd 2012
DD/forbes
JJ/kleiza/1st 2012
Bargs/ED
JV/Amir/gray

a solid backcourt, and if JJ and DD continue to evoluate, they will nice + kleiza on the wings. our frontcourt seems not so bad to me.
not so bad roster for the years to come.

You do know Tony Parker has been named an all star this year and is probably the Spurs' best player this season and they are 2nd in the west.

toronto sends andrea Bargnani to new jersey for mehmet okur and 2 1st round picks unprotected.
new jersey recieves another trading piece for dwight and we recieve 2 pieces for our rebuild. one that is a high lottery pick and the other is a mid round pick but we would be guarenteed to pick top 5 in next years draft. we can also do

we can draft steve adams next year, and two loterry players for this year

toronto recieves 2 first round picks + farmer + morrow for andrea Bargnani + 2nd round pick + filler (solomon alabi, anthony carter, gary forbes, etc.) if we do this near the draft deadline

When you say, "NJ receives another trading piece for Dwight", I'm assuming you're referring to Bargnani as the trade chip.

If so, I think Orlando would rather have the 2 unprotected picks and Okur for Howard than Bargnani and scraps. Bargnani's game is too similar to Ryan Anderson's, which makes Bargnani a really poor fit in Orlando. And the Nets don't have many assets to deal for Howard other than their first-round picks.

lets say we land the 5th pick in the draft and the warriors get the 13th pick

waht if we did a 5th pick, bayless for 13th pick and steph curry

i think this deal makes sense for both teams

dont know who would this trade because it depends on what you get in the draft but the bonus would be we get steph curry who is lights out and a low lottery pick in a deep draft that we can turn into a potential starter or add to the bench

We would have to give up DeRozan instead of Bayless me thinks...

Davis/5th pick/cash for 13th pick/Curry

With the 13th pick we can take Rivers?

Curry
Rivers
Derozan
Bargnani
Joval

GS doesn't really need Davis with Lee entrenched at the PF spot.

too weak of a team, and by weak i mean a team that would get pushed around.

and besides the gs goes to utah doesnt it?

Then maybe we sign Chandler at SF and flip Derozan for some added strength off the bench (backup Center?). The thing is, that trade would allow us to drop one of Jose or Bayless maybe through a trade and we'd still have our capspace and the #13 pick.

Chandler, Amir, Kleiza, JJ, Joval i find pretty tough imo.

im ok with the sf position honestly...

as long as a true scoring threat was present at the sg spot with an upgrade at the pg spot.

with the gs pick (if it doest go to utah as i originally thought) and demar/jose as bait i think an upgrade at that position could be had.

I don't even want Melo on this team, he'll take about 40 shots a game...

He'd ensure that Jonas gets plenty of offensive rebound opportunities at least. :cookie:
