what i see is an expiring for next season, and a pick in 2013.

beastley + barbosa =14M cap room in july 2012. Not a so bad situation.
and a high pick in 2012 + 2 pick in 2013, that can be a good thing, even if just as trade asset.

As I said before, they cannot make the trade. They traded away their 2012 draft pick to the Clippers years ago in the Marko Jaric trade. They are owed a first rounder that year from Utah, and in 2013 from Memphis, but both have protection on them, and as such do not count towards the rule.

To Toronto:

Paul George

To Indiana:

Andrea Bargnani

Straight up. No extra picks, we might even send a little money over to help pay Bargnani's contract. It works financially since Indy has some major cap space.

If Indy can swap David West for a legit shooting guard (OJ Mayo?) and they have a pretty solid team. Hibbert is the ideal type of center to play beside Andrea, they're play-styles contrast just the right amount.

Collison
???
Granger
Bargnani
Hibbert

Toronto finally gets their star forward they've been lacking and instantly becomes one of the most promising young teams in the East, moves on from the Bargnani experiment and makes room for Ed and Amir.

What the 2013 could look like (with Jonas):

Bayless/Jose
DeRozan/Barbosa
George/Johnson
Davis/Amir
Jonas/Gray

Hmmm Bargnani for George. Cant say I would do that in a heartbeat, but he does seem pretty decent though. But compared to all of the other bigger name SFs coming out Im not too sure about that

No way Indy is trading one of it's promising young players (they are VERY high on Paul George) for a clumsy, soft 7-foot guard who can't rebound and really, can't do much outside of scoring. The Pacers are fine with Granger and David West as their main scoring options, especially with Collison at the point, who is familiar with David West's game from NOH. Right now, Indy is looking to add a starting SG...their front court is SOLID.

I'd rather have Jeff's little brother playing point to be honest.

Second lottery pick or bust.

a howard deal :

Toronto gets humphries + 1st nets 2012
Orlando gets Bargnani + lopez + brools + s. williams + 1first Houston 2012 + 1st nets 2013 + 2*2nd nets 2012/2013
Nets gets Howard + turko

Nets gets howard.

Orlando gets some nice pieces (young pieces) to rebuild + 2 first round and 2 2nd. and they shed some money too. that will put 2to5M over the capspace. not so bad for next season,

Toronto shed some money, gets humphries who has a 1year contract, more capspace for us, and he is a solid PF/C (10/10). and a 1st draft pick even Nets with howard, still will bea first round (15-22) in a solid draft.
next summer we will be at 23M capspace to complete our roster. that seems nice. without amnesty caldy. so if we amnesty caldy, that allow us 33M.

I like this trade! For bargs, we get a mid 1st rounder, to potential lotto 1st. But then I think Williams + Howard might just make it to the 6-8 spots

1.
lakers gets calderon
TO gets blake + tpe + 2nd round 2012

lakers gets a solid QB pg, who will enjoy feeding kobe, gasol and bynum.

we get some money (tpe), a second round pick and blake as a backup can be fine(especially with carter), we can buy out him at the end of the season.

2.
POR gets bargnani
TOR gets batum + 1st 2012 + scrubs/money/tpe

portland gets a big men scorer, who will defend there to get minutes.

we get a solid SF starter defender, pair with JJ, our sf spot will be fine for years to come. and we get a mid pick in the next draft. and some money.

we shed some money, open our capsapce (almost 10M), and give us 2 more picks in this draft (2*1st +2*2nd).

Roster:
JBay/carter/blake
DD/Barbo/buttler
Batum/JJ/forbes
ED/amir/kleiza
gray/magloire/alabi

so if we waived blake, don't resign barbo, carter, gray, alabi and buttler we will have 26M in capspace and 2 1st draft pick and 2*2nd draft pick. Jonas will come so we will need a solid pg dynamic (draft portland pick) and another big men.

Jbay/Por pick/2nd pick
DD/forbes/2nd pick
Batum/JJ/Kleiza
ED/TOR pick/???
Jonas/Amir/Magloire

orlando gets Bargs + gray
toronto gets reddick + andersen + 1st orlando 2012.

orlando gets some scoring abilities with barg, and he is a big man who can play alongside d12. gray will give them another big men.

we get a backup sg forward, a real good 3s shooter. and andersen as our 3rd option big men will be fine.
we shed also 2M and andersen is in his last year. the pick will be a late one (20-25) but in this draft that can be a good thing.
