I think DK is on the right track though. Barbosa would be a great fit for Chicago. He can provide some scoring runs when the offence is struggling. Most importantly he can help with handling the ball and let Rose play off the ball.

I agree. Barbossa, or a player like him, could help the Bulls. However, they do not need Calderon and his bloated salary.

Thats what I was going for. I was thinking just something like Barbosa for Asik + filler (Brewer or Korver) would be good. I really like the idea of having Asik to backup Bargs.

As a Toronto fan, I'd love a deal like that. But, If I'm Chicago, I wouldn't want to lose Asik, so I'd probably just try to sign a player similar to Barbossa by using the MLE. I think Jamal Crawford will be one of the players on their list this offseason.

As I stated elsewhere, J.R. Smith would be a much better fit in Chicago than Barbosa, who may not be ready for the start of the season.

I think JR would be a cancer/disruption to the Bulls. However I think Barbo would be awesome and if he thought he could go far with the Bulls he could sign outright. Give up money for a chance for a real title - I would consider that.

Asik shows too much promise to get traded. I could see Boozer going though, he hasn't really fit in well

How about getting Josh Smith instead of Gay? Apparently ATL is looking to make changes cause of their inability to win the playoffs.

Tor. trades: Bargnani, Calderon, Barbosa

Atl. trades: Josh Smith, Kirk Hinrich, Pachulia

Our lineup would look like this:

(Knight/Walker)/Bayless/Hinrich
DD/(FA?)/Hinrich
Smith/Johnson/Klieza
Davis/Johnson/Evans/Dorsey
(FA)/Pachulia/Ajinca/Alabi

Atl's lineup would be:

Teague/Calderon
Crawford/Barbosa
Johnson/Williams/Wilkins
Bargnani/Powell
Horford/Thomas

Bargnani goes to a warm enviorment, and we get a pretty good lineup, and much better defensively with Josh Smith's 2 blks a game and almost 2 stls, and adding a defensive center, along with Davis, our front-court defense would be terrifying for opposing teams. We could even lead the league in blks per game. Plus we keep our #5 pick. And it worked in 2k11 lol. What do you guys think?

They also had guys like Jordan, Pippen and Jackson keeping him in line - strong personalities. Don't think Rose is ready and I can see Noah clashing

J.R. Smith has matured quite a bit over the past couple of years. He's no longer the head case that he was when he first entered the league. He's still a fiery guy, but he's learned to channel his intensity in a positive way. The accident that he was in a couple of years ago seems to really have made him settle down.

I think a team like Chicago could handle him just fine. Rose is a solid leader. Yes, he's still young, but he already poses the intangibles of a great leader. Heck, he's already leading a veteran group. Thibodeau is also a no-nonsense coach. He'll keep Smith in check, as will Deng and Boozer.

Smith is just a great fit in Chicago - a young, explosive SG that can score from anywhere on the court. He's also a pretty good playmaker. He would help the Bulls become a much more balanced team.

Barbosa could be a good fit in Chicago, but he's not starting material. His wrist injury also creates a big question mark on his availability and effectiveness next season. If I was Chicago, I would be looking at Rip Hamilton and/or Tayshaun Prince before exploring a deal involving Barbosa.

Smith decides it's the right time to declare that he was probably not coming back to the Nuggets in the middle of a play-off series. Sounds matured to me.

I think Barbo would be great backing up Rose as well as playing some starting SG.

Felton wants to be a starter...is he >Walker? If he is, why not consider moving Bayless/future pick for Felton? Works straight across. Could then draft Leonard for his immediate impact on defense - Felton/DD/Leonard/Davis/Bargs. Then try to trade Bargs for a center.

Or draft Jonas/Bismack and go with Felton/DD/JJ/Davis/Bismack or Jonas. Then trade Bargs for a SF - might be easier than trying to get a center.

Bargs + Toronto's 5th

for

Okur + Utah's 3rd

then draft Kanter/Irving/Williams.

Or, to make it more interesting...

Bargs + Ed Davis + 5th

for

Okur + Derrick Favors + 3rd

then draft Kanter/Irving/Williams.

Basically giving up Ed Davis to get Kanter and Favors? meh

I like Brandon Knight more. And this is a way to get him

Detroit wants to dump Rip+#8 and get a player back
Minnesota wants veterans and doesn't like what is available at #2

Toronto out:
Bargnani, Calderon, #5
in:
Hamilton, Flynn, #2, #8

Detroit out:
Hamilton, #8
in:
Bargnani, Webster

Minnesota out:
Flynn, Webster, #2
in:
Calderon, #5

Why would Minnesota even come close to considering that?

Yeah it's essentially Flynn/webster/D. Williams for Calderon/Val?
