to be fair, that's an opinion you're unlikely to share with anyone of importance to do with the NBA.

He has one of the worst contracts in the NBA.. if you want to overpay for a chucker and a headcase, go right ahead.

how about

L.A. Clippers
Andrea Bargnani

Toronto Raptors
DeAndre Jordan
2011 2nd Round Draft Pick

Toronto gets deandre jordan and a back court of him and davis would be extremely efficient in later years since they are both very good rebounders, defenders, shot-blockers. This could eventually become one of the best defensive back courts in a couple of years
for the second round pick, trade it and move up the draft by like 7 spots and draft josh selby. since this is a weak draft, our best idea would be to get a low risk high reward player. josh selby was a top recruit but his college stats were horrible so now he has fallen down the draft but he still has the skill and potential to pull it off
they said the same about deandre jordan 2 years back that his college stats were horrible and he fell to the second round but look where he is now
i have a feeling josh selby could become a steal in the draft if he focus on basketball and pushes himself to his limit like derozan did

or

Toronto
Greg Monroe
2011 1st round pick

Detroit
2011 1st round pick (if fallen out of top three)
Andrea Bargnani

to me greg monroe is a second version of ed davis upset greg monroe is more offensive and ed davis is more defensive
either way they both averaged almost 8 rebounds and a back court of these two would be a dynamic one-two defensively and offensively

The Clippers need Jordan as a back up and I think the successor to Kaman. They also provide the D for Griffen. Detroit is already bad at D and they have the defensively challenged CV lol. Monroe is one of their only bright spots.

I'm guessing you don't watch Iggy much?

He does a lot more well, than he doesn't do well. Rebounds, distributes, defends very well.

The only thing he can't do is shoot. I realize that's a big part of the game, especially at his position, but to say he can't do anything is just completely ignorant.

3 team deal
Toronto give : davis + Bargs + alabi + barbosa + 1st 2012 + 2nd 2012 + tpe
Chicago give charlotte first 2012 + korver + asik
Orlando give howard + anderson + orlando 2nd 2011

orlando gets davis + Bargs + alabi + asik + charlotte first 2012 + toronto first 2012

orlando gets 2 first pick (at least one lottery) one big prospect with davis at PF, 2 prospect Center with alabi and especially asik, and one big man scorer with bargs. + some money.
they really can rebuild after this season.

chicago gets barbosa + anderson + 2nd round toronto 12 + 2nd orlando 2011.
they gain a bench sg who can open he floor to score. what they miss this year when rose isn't on fire. and 2 second round and a big man in anderson who has some skills.

toronto gets Korver + Howard.

toronto gets a big star even for 2 years who will lead the defense.
korver will bring us some 3s at the sg spot, and be a real backup for DD.

resign evans, dorsey and ajinca.
we can trade Calderon or keep him as a bench pg who can teach our young pg (if we draft one)

Bayless/calderon
DD/korver
JJ/Kleiza
Amir/evans/dorsey
Howard/ajinca

we still manage to keep our big draft pick this year, and can go after a center FA and buy a late pick.

i know that seems a dream, but i really think it's good for orlando.
they can rebuild in the 2012 draft.

howard and evans in the same time to protect the ring will be awsome on defense.

Raptors Sucking up to Cleveland.

What would it take?

Yeah, it's fantasy all right, but...

What would it take from Toronto to get Cleveland to cough up #1?

Assets:

We have the #5 and we have redundancy at our PF spot with 2 PF's and a 7'1", 260lb centre who says he's a PF.

Together with #5 and Amir, what else would it take to get them to give up #1? (Don't forget that they'd still have the #4)

Man cleveland doesnt desrerve this. They just lost lebron and now they get two high picks. Imagine Kemba Walker and Derrick Williams on the same team to build around.

toronto give barbosa + Bargs + 2rd 2012/ + weems (s&t) + alabi
chicago give korver + asik
Miny give first 2011 + pekovic
wash give 1st 2011

wash gets korver + alabi + 2nd round tor 201
chicago gets barbosa + 2nd round tor 2013
Miny gets Bargs + weems
torronto gets first minny 2011 + first wash 2011 + pekovic + asik.

wash gets a great sg with korver, a real shooter and a second round in a draft who will be very nicer than this one.
not to mention a pospect center to be aside and train with Mcgee and booker

chicaco gets a real change game amker with barbosa at the sg backup, who can be a leathal weapon with rose. because with two penetration guys like rose and barbo, their backcourt will be reallu scary to stop

miny gets a real big men scorer like love, but without the rebounding abilities, i will live love make the work, that he do so well.
with two big men scorer, their front court in offense will be very breat.
if they can add rubio, and with a korver to start at sg, and a beastley at sf; that will be a nice team.

toronto gets way some pretty nicee piece there.
2 big men with pekovic and asik, and again 2 lottery pick this year.

bayless/draft(knight)/JC
DD/draft (burks)/bayless
draft (williams)/JJ/Kleiza
amir/davis/evans (resign him)
asik/pekovic/ ???

a young core, but i think that can works out in the futur.

Hate to say it, but they'd probaby want more, like next year's 1st, unprotected.

Actually wouldn't mind seeing this, but getting all to agree might be tough. We'll see what magic BC can pull off in his 2 years of breathing room plus an option. I think his moves will be more minor tinkering at first.

calderon is better than all their PG.
and in one year, he will be a more "good" value with his expiring contract.

They would probably rather go after a Devin Harris type imo. I can't see Calderon being attractive to a team like the Lakers.

Why not? I actually think he'd be good on the Lakers.

trade 1 :

Sac gets calderon
toronto gets garcia + 2011 pick.

sac need a QB pg with leader abilities to pair with evans.

we get a vet backup sg (good teammate) and a niice 7th pick.

trade 2 :
tor give davis + weems (s&t - 3M)
Wash give 6# 2011 + Booker

davis will be a beast at the pf spot, and with Mcgee they will defend hard on frontcourt, with wall abilities to score an run the backourt.
we get a prospect center.

Trade 3 :

Tor give Bargs + barbosa
orlando give nelson + andersen + 1st 2012 orl
SAS give parker + neal

SAS gets nelson + barbosa + andersen
Orlando gets Bargs + neal
toronto gets parker + 1st 2012 orlando

san antonio need a change, and nelson + barbosa will cange their front court.
barbosa as a backup for manu will be a beast.
with nelson, they change of style but they gain in defense at pg.

orlando gets a big man scorer at PF to pai with d12, and a nice prospect G to go on, bench backup for arenas.

we get a real PG (29yrs) and 3 titles who knows how to lead a team, and who can gain to move out of texas.

draft leonard, Biyombo and thompson(TT)
resign evans.

so we will have :
Parker/bayless
DD/garcia
JJ/Kleiza/'leonard'
Amir/'TT'/evans
Booker/'Biyumbo'/alabi

a very young team with 4 vet to lead the young ones !

we will need a 3rd pg for sure (don't make twice the same mistake, so choice to buy a late first or a early second.
leonard can play 2, and vice versa with DD so we will be set on wings and on frontcourt with 7 player, all good prospect defender or real defender (evans).
