Do you value Wroten that much or our 2014 1st that little?

Don't think its that bad, especially if Masai plans to keep Lowry all year. That pick would be around 20th.

I'd much rather take my chance on someone like Glenn Robinson III or Semaj Christon than trade the pick for Tony Wroten.

If they're projected to go 20th or worse I doubt they declare.

need to do it on two part :
a.
Utah get Fields + Novak + 2*2nd rd 2014 (SAC + OKC)
TOR get Jefferson
b.
Utah get Vasquez + 1st NYK 2016
TOR get Alec Burks

Utah send an expiring and a young combo guard for some picks.

We add flexibility and i think Burks will be great as our backup pg, and jefferson will give us another vet at the wing.

Lowry/Burks
DD/Salmons
Ross/Jefferson
AJ/Patterson/TH
JV/Hayes

That first deal is horrible for Utah. If they take on that salary they want guaranteed 1st round picks.

The 2nd deal is kind of better but I don't think they'd do it because it's still Burks' 3rd season and there's lots left to play. In addition he's the same age as Ross. Utah would be giving up on him in that situation and given they're in all out tank and asset collection mode I don't think they give up on him just yet.

That's the thing tho, there's a bunch of talented, high ceiling prospects in this draft who could go anywhere from late lotto to early 20's, those guys included. I wanna see what Masai can do with a mid first rounder in such a deep draft class.

You mean our pick that will most likely be in the 20's yes.

Jesus Hail Mary Mother of God some of you posters act this draft is stacked deeper than the '03. This draft is not as deep as some of you guys act and no where near '03.

There are Gems every draft class - in the first and the second round. MU said at the start of the year and little into the season, "...there are other drafts than 2014...."

You don't know that.. We can say there is not going to be the next Lebron, but depth wise this draft seems to be as deep as they get

YOU don't know that either. If there are too many potentials fighting for top spots I can see a number of them pulling out to go next year for better positioning - happens a lot so why would this year be different?

At ~20th I would be astonished if MU could draft what would become a 30 mpg type player. A solid reserve could be had though.

I don't, it's all a guess (especially with the player drafter later), but there is no reason to claim that this draft is not going to be deep. No one really knows it for a fact, but it seems like there is going to be a lot of gems outside the lottery. Do you know something that the scouts and all the experts don't? From what I watched in college ball and read opinions of experts, I believe that this draft is going to be deep

I do trust in his drafting skills from whatever little I've seen so far. According to rumors, in 2013 draft he wanted to trade for a pick to draft Antetokounmpo, but asking price was too high. As we see now that would've been a good pick

Raptors trade Demar DeRozan, 2016 NYK 1st pick for Gerald Henderson, and Detroit's 2014 1st round pick.

Not a huge upgrade for Charlotte, but it depends on how much they like Demar. Demar at this point does have a bit more value, thus the 1st round pick swaps. That Detroit pick is top 8 protected this year and only top 1 protected next year!
