Josh smith isn't playing his natural position. With the Raptors he would and be in better position to be is old self

His old self was over-rated and we don't want any Josh Smith self old or new on the Raptors. We don't need to save Dumar's ass for another stupid signing. Vallanueva, Ben Gordon, Josh Smith, Brandon Jennings. It won't be long till they're calling for his head in Detroit. Let them keep Josh Smith. Looks good on them.

That wasn't my point. I think a Lowry-Ross-Gay-Smith-Jonas team would end up in that 35-45 wins range. That roster looks worse than last year's Hawks, which won 44 games.

I just want the Raptors to be more ambitious, even if it takes some patience for a few years.

There was a time not long ago when i wanted a trade like this myself. I think I even posted a very similar trade idea in this thread last spring (only with Millsap instead of Smith). But that was when Colangelo was still running the team, and it seemed that patience was out of the question.

Maybe when they finish doing it they are as good as they are right now. Maybe next summer some team absorbs Gay's 19 mil for free. Maybe Asik just hates Howard, even though his agent pretty much came out and said that Asik wants a proper role.

It's ok to talk about this on a forum but this is an actual job for Larry Bird and actual money for Herb Simmon, and there are way too many long shot maybies in this.
Absolutely.. why would you give up Hill+ Garbage and picks (that belongs to Suns) For Lowry Gay Asik. They could likely flip this deal to rondo (not a fact) but would definately get better PG than Hill.

Tens of millions of dollars in salary and taxes isn't garbage.

A simple solution would be to just add that 4th team to the deal. If there's a deal to be had, that's how it would happen in the NBA.

Celtics though don't seem like a good partner.

That's what I've been saying from the beginning.
Oh and this isn't a serious trade offer, if MU would do it he should be fired

To CHA: Danny Granger
To IND: Ben Gordon

Might work out for both sides.

This is very weird trade don't know if nba would allow it but:
Part 1
Toronto: Noah, T. Hardaway Jr., M. Teague
Chicago: T. Chandler, Derozan, Lowry
New York: Deng, Hinrich

Part 2

Toronto: C. Butler, Felton, Antetokounmpo
New York: Asik, Ilyasova
Milwaukee: Gay, Shumpert
Houston: Bargnani

Chicago gets better and buys time to stay competitive, Lowry would be good starting PG until Rose comes back. And Derozan to play 2/3, Chandler would be nice fit imo. Rumors are that they could be looking to trade Deng, so I think this would make sense.

New York gets Good stretch 4 of the bench in Ilyasova (something they were hoping Bargs would be), good centre in Asik, solid PG/SG in Hinrich, and Deng to play 3.

Milwaukee: gets starting SF in Gay, and good SG of the bench Shumpert without loosing much (Rumors are they would be willing to trade Ilyasova)

Houston: gets stretch 4 to play beside Howard

Toronto: Cleans up the house and stacks up with prospects, oh and get Noah

Felton/Teague/ Augustine/ Buycks/
Ross/ Hardaway Jr/ Fields
Butler/Novak/Antetokounmpo
Amir/TH/ Daye
Noah/JV/Gray

Don't think Chicago deals Noah for that package. I recall them not even wanting to deal him for Dwight, so that's unlikely.

Maybe, but things have changed and Noah isn't playing that great lately. Not sure if they would do it but I think it would be very fair trade for them

just after december 15th :

SAS get Afflalo + Daye
Orlando get Ross + Bonner + Gray + 1st SAS 2014 + 1st NYK 2016 + 2nd rd clippers 2014 (sas)
Tor get Green + de Colo + Nicholson

SAS get stronger to beat Miami. and bet on the futur with afflalo+leaonard on the wings.

Orlando gain more flexibility (7M expiring) and 2 first rounds. ross give them a nice prospect wing.

We get a more consistant bench. a solid backup pg (still young), a prolific 3pt shooter sg and a young backup PF. we cut augustine.

Lowry/De Colo/Buycks
DD/Green/Stone
Gay/Novak/Fields
AJ/Nicholson/Acy
JV/TH

if i may, i transform it :

1.
chi get 1st tor 2014 + 1st tor 2016 + 1st NYk 2016
tor get Thibedeau

we give thieadeau a 10M/yr contract for 5yr.

2.
NYK get Asik + Lowry + TH
NYK give Chandler + felton + hardaway jr

CHI get Chandler + Gay + Felton + Ross + Gray
CHI give Noah + Boozer + hinrich + Buttler

Houston get Boozer + hinrich
Houston give Assik + Lin + Montejunas

Toronto get Noah + Lin + Hardaway JR + Buttler + Montejunas
toronto give Gay + Lowry + Ross + TH + Gray

Nyk will improve, especially the second unit will be a tough one wih Worl peace and TH. also they add flexibility. and their line-up will improve :
Lowry/Schumpert/Anthony-WP-Barg-TH-Asik

Houston get a pf to pair with D12 and a solid defender pg. they improve overhall.

Chicago change their line-up, but they get more scoring.

toronto get a title type of coach.
we get an energic big + a young SF with buttler, a young Scoring sg and a young prospect Big.
and i think kin will learn defense with Thibedeau, like DD.

3.
SAS get augustine + 2nd rd OKC 2014 + 2nd rd SAC 2014.
tor get De Colo.

Lin/de Colo/Buycks
DD/Hardaway JR/Fields
Buttler/Novak/Fields
AJ/JVAcy/Daye
Noah/JV
