meh never said I was good at these. I think wizards would be fine with that. Its the cavs that wouldnt. They would need picks in return I guess.

Yep, the Wizards would probably do it. I'd definitely do it in their spot. They won't have much flexibility for the next 3 years anyway (assuming they re-sign Gortat). It makes sense to add Gay and go for the playoffs.

The Cavs get a lot of nothing in that deal, though. They've just drafted Bennett no.1 overall. I guess this is based on Ariza having one great game to start the year and Bennett playing poorly so far. If Ariza played as well as he did that one game, he'd be the perfect 3D fit for the Cavs, so I get the thinking. But Bennett is coming off an injury, and Ariza has a long history of mediocrity. Even the most impatient GMs are much too patient for a deal like that.

Houston trades Jeremy Lin, Terrence Jones

Toronto trades Kyle Lowry, Amir Johnson

Houston gets 'win now' players. Toronto gets younger, more financially controllable ones.

I would love to see Lin on this team.

Toronto: Granger (14mil exp), stuckey (8mil exp), Detroit pick (2014 top 5 protected)

Detroit: Gay, Watson

Indiana: Lowry, Jerebko, Toronto pick 2016

Don't think the money works and don't see Indiana needing Lowry but I think these three teams could be decent trading partners if we get granger and detroit gets gay. The rest of the moving parts + pick I'm not sure of.

Detroit owes their pick to Charlotte.

Well, if Detroit is willing to trade their pick for Gay, then just do that original rumored trade but with a pick:
Detroit in: Gay
Toronto in: Stuckey, Charlie, pick

No point to give Lowry/pick for Granger.

Granger is a 14mil expiring and they won't want him back now.

Can you imagine having 3 expiring conatracts in Stuckey/Granger/CV (30mil in total) plus a pick. Would never happen but maybe to a degree something like this can be worked out if we decide to go in that direction.

I mean, I don't think Toronto should do the Granger part. I think Indiana would take it. They get a healthy player and a pick.

But does Toronto do this with intention to extend Granger? I don't mind adding Granger as a vet leader type. But if it costs a pick, then I think it'd be better to do it next summer when he's a free agent.
A pick and Lowry for an injured expiring Granger is a lot.

So I'd rather take Indiana out of the trade.

1.
Utah get Gordon + Lowry + a 2nd rd from NOP
NOP get Gay + Gray
TOR get Biedrins + Williams + Hayward + Rivers + Gobert

Utah get two solid starter. they lose a little bit of flexibility, but they keep their two 1st 2014.

NOP get a solid SF whom will complete their roster.
holliday/evans/gay/Davis/steinsma, make a solid starter unit.

2.
OKC get DD + Novak
tor get Jackson + sephalosha + Perkins + 1st OKc 2014 + 1St Dallas 2014

Jackson/Rivers/Buycks
Ross/Sephalosha/Stone
Hayward/Fields/Williams
AJ/TH/Acy
JV/Gobert/Perkins

we buy out augustine, daye, biedrins.
we will have 2 sure picks in this draft, and 2 to come (Dallas + NYK)
we forget Playoffs this season, but we will have a young core and flexibility to rebuild properly.

Rudy, Lowry, and Gray for Hayward, Rivers, and expirings?

I value Hayward pretty highly, so yeah I'd do that.

Neither of those teams can trade those picks, but I think the 1st idea is very interesting, just got to replace that pick.

The Lakers idea would be unfair if they could trade their pick. Their pick could be Wiggins.

Its ok, it was likely another 14 team trade that made no sense and had about 30 different steps to it.
