I did say that Deng is better team player, so there is no reason to bring it up and try to make it seam like i ignored this fact
because stats don't tell who is necessarily better. Deng could be capable of a larger role in the offense but instead buys into a winning formula. Also, never said you ignored it, just implying you're focusing heavily on offensive stats.

that's fair, i just found it odd that you commented on the post where i was comparing stats, and not the previous ones where it was more of an opinion.
I don't have a problem if someone sees Deng as a better out of two, because it's close. I do have a problem when people push their opinion like it's a fact without any arguments to back it up. (not talking about you carp)

totally agree. I think they're both in the same tier, though I'd never fault anyone for picking one or the other.

I was tempted to post that steve carrel "noooooooo" video but that has been completely killed, a long time ago. So i'll just say........no.

I think we'll really struggle to move gay and won't get great value for lowry. Lowry and gay for rondo, even with a pick included is laughable, celtics can do waaaay better.

we might get something decent for lowry, maybe a prospect or late 1st rounder, can't see what we can get for gay apart from expirings.

FINALS Just having some fun.

This is my first time at this, so be kind!

What do you guys think?
It frees up tons of cash, and Biyombo is a solid bench guy next year.

I think the most we could squeeze out of them would be Jeff Taylor

The NBA is all about efficiency these days.
Getting the most bang for your buck.
Rudy Gay' contract is out of whack. I say just getting rid of him is a win, but I think Lowry's expiring should be worth a lot more.

Ujiri definitely has his hands full. This franchise is a mess.

I doubt CHA would accept that trade. Thy would rather Ben Gordon's contract come off the books come of next year then have Rudy's shit contract for another two seasons

Charlotte does make sense as a destination for Rudy(if theyre desperate to make the playoffs this season), but I don't like trading both him and Lowry and getting so little back either. You have to get more value back, it cant just be a cap dump+a player like Biyombo. I have faith in Masai to get decent value for both if he was able to get picks out of the Bargs trade. We need to think bigger.

I do like Jeff Taylor though. He's going to be a solid starting 3 for a team in the next 2-3 years, he's just unlucky he's stuck behind a #2 pick who needs to play to develop his game. Getting Biyombo and Taylor back for Rudy wouldnt be bad, but not for both him and Lowry IMO.

I've had a woody for Taylor for a while now. Pretty solid shooter from the outside and he's a tenacious defender with a bit of a nasty streak. Sort of reminds me of a young Matt Barnes.

I doubt CHA wants Lowry anyway. Leave Lowry and Sessions off, have CHA throw in DET's first rounder. If they do want Lowry, throw the two back in. Send back NYK's 2016 pick or a couple 2nds if need be, but make sure that 2014 pick comes our way if our two real trade assets are moving in the same transaction.

On a side note.... if Indy can find a way to pry Rondo out of Boston that could be the final piece of the puzzle when it comes to beating MIA.
