No, same here. I posted the above trade in the trade machine and the link didn't work. I then just posted it without the link.

While that is true Asik is a big and RG is not. There are better options out there for Houston than RG at PF.

And what is RG going to make? Next year he'll make near $20 million and whoever signs him after that he'll make $9-12 million/year (at least). You seem to think highly of RG, especially in regards to George so idk. I think Parsons is better value and probably will be afterwards.
Well I just think with Dwight on the team Gay would be just fine at PF kinda like Melo in NY. I don't think very high of Gay, I actually started to hate him a bit. But one thing is to like a or dislike a player and other thing is his value around the league (look at Bargs trade). Gay is overpraised trigger happy SF, But he is still a very good player and could be matchup nightmare under the right coach (Casey is not the right coach).
Remember how most of us wanted to trade half of the team for Granger couple of years ago? Gay is much better than DG imo. Teams that are in need will ignore his salary, don't remember us complaining much when we traded for Rudy.
you could always make an argument that he is overpaid, but teams keep doing same mistakes and trade for overpriced talent, or give them huge contracts based on potential. Is Houston one of those teams? I don't know, but if they need that extra push to become champions, I can see them trying their luck.

Why would GSW ever think of doing this? Not only does Barnes have more value than Gay, they also give us one of the better PFs in the NBA with him so they can what, start Gay at PF? You gotta look at both sides of the coin.

Anyways, in terms of teams that make sense for Rudy to be traded to:

MIL, DAL, WAS

MIL trades: Butler, Udoh, Ridnour, future 1st rd pick
TOR trades: Gay

DAL trades: Marion, Crowder, 2014 1st rd pick(or future 1st)
TOR trades: Gay

WAS trades: Ariza, Vesley, Seraphin, future 1st rd pick
TOR trades: Gay

All 3 teams are weak at SF, and all 3 seem to want to do anything it takes to stay in the running to make the playoffs this year.

I think the MIL trade is the best one, unless DAL would be willing to actually give up their 2014 1st rounder for Gay, which is really unlikely.

I dont think any of the other teams in the NBA make sense in terms of their current state at SF, and their cap flexibility.

I think Pistons, Cavs, Bobcats could be pretty good trade partners too

I dont think the Pistons would be. I think they're committed to the Smith at SF experiment at least for this year, and they wouldnt give us Monroe for Gay anyways. They can easily get a better return for Monroe anyways.

CLE could make sense if they struggle early this year, but it's really hard to(impossible from what I've tried on the trade checker) create a trade with them that works financially without them giving up one of their highest paid players(Bynum, Varejao, Jack, Irving). I suppose Gay for Varejao+parts could work assuming that Bynum is back and healthy, but I just cant see it happening.

Bobcats are still rebuilding and MKG is one of their biggest pieces. I cant see them giving up on him this early. A trade centered around Gay for Gordon+a future 1st would be awesome though,

I think Pistons would do something like Charlie V, Stuckey and future 1st. throw in Derozan or Lowry and Monroe trade seems possible.

salary wise, it works. and no need to wait december 15th.

Portland get T. Young + Ross + Hawes
Philly get Gay + Gray + 1st 2014 Tor
Toronto get Batum + Turner + Lopez

Portland improve Hawes>Lopez and young+ross = batum

Philly get another 1st pick.

We get a better suited SF to pair with DD.
Turner will become our 6th man.
we can resign him (36M-4yrs) or make a S&T.

Now we have a team for the playoffs whom can fit casey system. with offense options; 3pt shooting, solid defense and rbd.

Lowry/Augustine
DD/Turner
Batum/Fields/Novak
AJ/TH/Acy
Jv/Lopez

Wow Portland gets hosed. Batum > Deng and Aldridge >>>>>> Boozer. That Charlotte pick is protected for a while and Chicago's pick is going to be around 25th.

We're not using Meyers Leonard anymore. Any Raptors or picks you want to trade for a huge center that's not very good?

Throw in Batum and I think we could work something out.

Leonard, Batum for Gay, Casey, Augustine
