Toronto gets: Perkins, Lin, C. Lee, Collinson, J. Lamb, D. Motiejunas + 2014 1st Houston, 2015 1st Houston, 2014 1st Oklahoma (from Dallas)protected 1-20 until 2018 , 2015 1st Oklahoma, 2018 1st Boston (from Brooklyn), 2014 2nd Houston (from Philadelphia)

Houston gets: Gay, A. Bradley

Oklahoma gets: Derozan, Asik

Boston gets: Lowry, Perry Jones, Acy

Houston already has a good and a much cheaper SF in Parsons as opposed to RG and that salary of his. Yes getting Bradley would be nice but 2 straight first rounders (which I believe can't be done in the NBA unless 1 of them is another team's) in addition to getting rid of Asik AND DMO at PF.

In case you haven't noticed - Boston isn't getting rid of picks. They're looking to get more and more of them. And even though they want to be s**t Bradley and Rondo are some of the few guys who they may want to keep. Why do they give up a pick and Bradley to get KL who may walk as a FA at the end of the season and they already have a better PG.

OKC might be inclined to do it.

Golden state gets a good bench, with Lowry and Ross. And novak as a specialist.
Raptors get barnes and a young backup C. As well as get rid of Novak's 3 yr contract
Barnes is part of their future. KL is a FA at the end of the season and could walk with nothing in return (and don't they have Curry). TR isn't at the point where he's that reliable backup who is consistent and you know you're getting something solid - he needs those consistent minutes fed to him like DD had. Novak's contract isn't that favourable. Also, GSW are taking on more contract wise.

We should really be exploring the idea of Gay, Lowry, DD to Detroit for Stuckey, Vilanueva, Kentavious, first rounder and Monroe.

We could start JV, Monroe, Fields, Ross, and sign a FA PG..... or draft one. We'd have so much cap room and a solid core! We'd have an inside-out philosophy and we could then bring in Hollins or Karl.... huge rebuild and culture change. We'd increase the value of our own pick and have a mid first rounder from Detroit. Win win win.... starting next season.

Finally, some hope for the future!

Idk about that trade specifically but yeah, I've always looked at having Detroit as trade partners for RG and/or DD. Even though I think Monroe and JV would be nice to have, I think they'd maybe be too offense oriented. This isn't to say they'll be bad defensively but when you have 2 bigs for the future-preferably one's strength is D over his offense.

I think you'll find JV to get stronger defensively.... enough to make it work.

Houston is in win now mode, they have couple of years to go for the title. they need a starting PF. Both Gay and Parsons can play SF/PF so that would solve problem for them while making them much better than they already are. they also could really use player like Gay, in the games when it matters to Defend against Lebron/Durant.

doubt that Boston would care much about 2018 pick, they are tanking but there is no way they are going to be tanking that long, it's not originally their pick anyway and it's not likely to be good. Lowry>Bradley, They also get two prospects.

OKC wins this trade..

Houston already has enough guys to play the three and four.... they don't need another shot taker.

Thanks carp.

It doesn't really make them that much better. Also, Houston doesn't have a gm like Morey who doesn't gives up assets and likes overpaid players. Lowry>Bradley - so what? he's a FA and a PG. Boston already has Rondo and Bradley plays both PG and SG. Perhaps you don't understand the asset that is a first round pick. Other GMs aren't BC.

That's a solid core? Any core that includes Fields, an unproven and frustrating Ross and some unknown PG is not exactly a solid core.

fields isn't the core, but you can't get rid of all salary in one deal.... maybe you can, but not an ordinary man like Ujiri.

The core would be JV, Monroe and our lottery pick.... plus Ross, Amir, and our mid first rounder....

They don't have any starting quality SF/PF other than Parsons, not even talking about players who could guard James, Bosh.

When has cap space ever been a good thing for us? As for lottery picks, that's fine but I just don't see MU blowing this up for a long term rebuild. Time will tell, but I would be shocked if he trades 2 or all of RG/DD/KL and gets not relevant assets (current players) in return.

they actually do, you just have to be patient on it. Casspi, Parsons, Garcia, Jones, Montejunas..... all will be enough..... the first three can really stretch the floor and allow Dwight (maybe even force Dwight) to step up and get back to his dominant Orlando days in the paint. They don't need Rudy jacking shots given he's not a shooter.

They won't trade Asik this year..... unless overwhelmed with an offer. He's an offseason move for them.

Again, you have to either believe in Ujiri or not. If you think he's Colangelo 2.0, then fine, cap space sucks. Besides, Caldwell-Pope is going to be a good player.

Oh right it does't.. Gay is not upgrade over Asik at PF
Houston is trying to win NOW, and if giving up few Assets could be difference between becoming champions or not, I'm sure he would.
Perhaps you don't understand value of expirings, they could easily trade Lowry to a contender getting much better return than that 2018 Brooklyn pick, that is more than likely end up being very late first round pick which has even less value than early second round pick..
