Would you guys do a monroe, KVP and 1st for Gay and DeRozan?

Sign up Smart with a pick and a Small forward(ill say wiggins to just put in a name... highly if not completely unlikely) then sign a massive free agent SG with our huge capspace

Smart/Stone
Wade/Caldwell-Pope
Wiggins/Ross
Monroe/Acy
Valanciunas/Johnson

Sexiest team you have ever seen?

Or maybe their plan is to have Josh Smith play 5-6 minutes at SF (like he did in Atlanta) and an impressive 3 bigs rotations the rest of the time.

I have a feeling Monroe rumors are going to get obnoxious within the next year. All the fans of all the teams are going to be dreaming of how to steal Monroe for half the price. It will be like Danny Granger / Paul George for the last 3 years; "a trade is imminent".

But you see, no way do the Pistons do that. There's a thing called salary and they give up two players on rookie contracts AND a first without sending any big salary back (not even expirings) while taking on giant deals. Granted now that they've got JSmoove they may excel their process.

They have expirings up the ass though, we could easily take some of those. Add Stuckey or Villanueva to that deal and it works.

No way Detroit does that. If they do, EOY for Ujiri between this deal and the Bargs move.

Camby deals are the most likely and important at the moment, so here's a proposal

Pacers get:

Camby(4M)
2nd(via NYK)

Raptors get:

Mahinmi(4M)

I think they'd be more open to it if you swap KCP for Knight and DeRozan for Lowry

Never ever give up that NYK pick. I think that could be a huge asset in a deal for a star in the future.

Yea,that's not something MU should resort to doing really but he may have too. It sucks that the Nuggets have the right to swap with that pick too.

Apparently the Heat would be interested in Camby if they can't keep Anderson,so here's a proposal,

To Miami : Camby
To Memphis : Anthony
To Toronto : Davis

Or

To Miami : Camby, Kleiza, 2014 and 2017 2nd round picks(via NYK)
To Toronto : Anthony, Jones

Or

Camby for Anthony

It's still lopsided to Detroit unless they really really love DD and RG.

That second one is terrible!
I know Camby is going to be traded but imo he would be great mentor to JV

I like the first where we magically get Ed Davis for Camby. The 2nd one is indeed terrible - MU is in charge, no need to aimlessly give away picks. I think I'd rather just waive/buyout Camby instead of dealing him for Anthony. Thus he'd be paid this year's salary and next year $1 million. Anthony has a PO for next season.

If Memphis decides to go all in for a win-now situation, then trading them Novak + Some second rounders for Ed Davis might work, since they need a 3pt shooter badly, but we would have to really luck out for that deal to go through.

Not impossible MU should be given a key to the city if that were to happen. Always wanted to see what ED/Amir/JV could do together with proper management.

would you do somthing like this, mix of rebuild and twist :
1.
OKC get Asik
Houston get Gay + Lowry
Toronto get Lin + Parson + Perkins + Jackson + 1st OKC 2014 (Unprotected) + 1st dallas 2014 (top 20 protected, own by OKC) + 1st houston 2014 (top 20 protected)

2.
Houston get Camby + 2nd rd SAC 2014(own by tor).
Tor get Motiejunas + Cash

OKc get their dominant C.
West/Sephalosha/KD/Ibaka/Asik

Houston upgrade pg and sf :
Lowry/Harden/Gay/G Smith-T.Jones/D12

Tor: between the first (4M) and the second (2M) we shed almost 6M, instantly. if we amnesty Kleiza, it's more than 10M in cap relief. so we should be at the cap threshold.

I know lin isn't worth giving up Lowry, and he still has two years on his contract (17M/2yrs), as perkins (18M/2yrs). But i think he will fit better in a casey system, if he can just calm down the TO.
Jackson, parson and Motiejunas give us some young talents to build forward.
and we get 3 first picks, just to take perkins and lin contract.

Lin/Jackson/Stone
DD/Ross/Q-rich
Chandler/Fields/Novak
Amir/Motiejunas/Acy
JV/Perkins/Gray

Very young starting lineup
and a bench too with only 3 vet bench (Q-rich, Perkins, Gray)

4 first 2014 (Tor, OKC, Hou, Dal) + 2nd rd OKC 2014.

in the summer 2015 :
Lin, perkins, Amir, Fields and novak would be expire = 36M in capspace.
Parson and Jackson would be at the end of their rookie contract that summer 2015.

Motiejunas, JV, Acy and Ross rookie contract end summer 2016.
DD contract end 2016-2017.

not a bad move to build forward, even if with that roster i don't think the Playoffs are for next season.

So Morey trades for three players that he had and traded away at some point, hehe.

It's a decent idea. But Lowry had issues with McHale, so they probably aren't going there. And Gay doesn't seem well liked among the analytics guys -- like Morey. Also, Morey values his salary flexibility.

Bad timing given Ed will want his extension and we'd be without leverage at that point. Besides, Novak is a stud and trading picks is a bad idea at this point.
