So you are saying that a first round pick is not worth much?

That package is garbage with or without that pick. They could do a lot better.

they have room in their front-court for bargs.
The point i'm trying to make is I don't think Orlando wants Bargs because he has A: a multi-year contract and B: will prevent them from tanking. Unless Orlando wants to go the Houston route and trade their picks for talent and sign mediocre players...(I guess in this case it would be trading for mediocre players and signing talented ones?)

The first deal is ok. Unfortunately, once again, with that deal, the raps continue to be without a pure or natural SF. They also take on a lovely contract.

The second deal won't exactly help with future flexibility and will definitely not help with re-signing Lowry if he is the PG of the future here. A lot of salary coming Toronto's way.

From Toronto's standpoint, I agree with you and would prefer Amir for Chandler. It also gives Denver someone who can play multiple positions, fairly similar contracts, and offers some good protection behind Faried. It also gives us the luxury to try to sign Ed to a cap friendly contract, but you never know with BC. If they insist on Ed, ill do it only if they take back Kleiza.

LKZ, McGuire or AA, and a second rounder for W.Chandler. Chandler has been plagued by injuries in his time with Denver and has produced negative win shares/48 minutes. They have cheap young players like Hamilton and Quincy Miller on the wings. They also have C.Brewer. I think they'd want some financial relief. They also seem to be rolling with Iggy/Gallo/Faried at SG/SF/PF so they are doing pretty well there.

i really think trading for W chandler would be a bad idea, especially because of all his injury.

It's a bad idea if you give up too much.... I agree, he's not the player he was in NY. I'd still trade one of our backup PF's for him in order to round out this team.

I wonder what it would take to get Tyreke Evans. He might be a realistic possibility. Not sure i want him but at only 23 he's still intreguing to me, the main issue i have with him is his inability to hit 3's but if he splits time with Ross and with Lowry able to hit 3's it's not a massive concern. Again, not sure what it would take though. He's not worth giving up on Ross that's for sure.

Lowry
Evans
Derozan
Bargnani
Valanciunas

i'm not sure i love DD at the 3, but maybe he could stay in the rotation at the 3 with the 2nd unit, mix it up that way.

we could try a 3 team trade giving jose to a play-off team, and they give a good role-player to Sac and we give Ed or something as well.

evans could play some SG and some back-up PG, with Demar and Ross sharing the rest of the SG mins and DD playing some 3.

edit: effectively evans would be the 6th man.

I would take a gamble on Danny Granger even with all his injury problems..

Evans would be sweet. Guy was a 20/5/5 as a rookie. He just needs to rediscover himself.

I think Sac would ask for at least Ross for Evans as the main parts which I wouldn't mind doing. I won't feel comfortable with the lack of 3 point shooting from the 2-3 and Demar at the 3. I would move one of Demar or Evans. I would rather move Demar, but I don't see BC doing that at all. So a three team trade:

Toronto in: Luol Deng, Richard Hamilton.
Toronto out: Jose Calderon, Terrence Ross, Linas Kleiza, Dominic Mcguire

Chicago in: Jose Calderon, Tyreke Evans, and Dominic Mcguire.
Chicago out: Luol Deng, Richard Hamilton.

Sacramento in: Terrence Ross and Linas Kleiza
Sacramento out: Tyreke Evans.

I don't mind adding/substituting Ed or Amir. I would also ask for Teague back.

This isn't bad. Only suggestion would be to let Chicago keep Hamilton. Maybe take a lesser player instead who could potentially blossom in the Raptors org.

You really think SAC wouldn't just cut us out of the trade and keep Deng and give the Bulls their potential SG of the future?

It depends on what direction they want to go in. They would surely win more games with Deng for Evans, but I think they don't want to jeopardize a high lottery pick this year and max out that cap. Deng won't make them a contender. Besides for salary purposes, I dont think the bulls would want evans with garcia and would prefer Calderon whose a good expiring point guard as insurance behind Rose. Sac could possibly get a better offer than Ross in terms of positional need though.
