not gonna explain further.
still doesn't make sense, you're giving more time to a lower to other players by giving up your best player? then you might as well keep those minutes with your best player and all that just to get a backup PG because he's expiring

teams only do that if the player is on an expiring contract and is refusing to re-sign, unless jefferson is in that situation it makes no sense

Throw in Kleiza to increase their depth and shooting, it's not that far-fetched.

Pau will be an increase in talent as well as a mentor to JoVal, who he looks up to btw.

this is all theory, so bash if you must.
He looks up to Dwight

They may add in Duhon but either way it's a fair deal.

The LAL have been trying to trade Pau for three years. He gets chastized for being soft and not playing up to his potential all the time. He's older, makes twice as much.... I think we'd be getting fleeced into thinking he'd be coming here and bing Memphis Pau. He comes here and starts to look like Antwan Jamison looked in Cleveland... old and broken down. Book it.

that is never happening, we'd be lucky to get a first from any team str8 up.

at this point, you won't get essentially two first round picks for Bargnani. I like the idea of going after Barnes though

yeah, probably not a high one anyway.

i said in the "trade bargs" thread, maybe a rookie and a mid to late 1st?

but finding a team to do it with could be hard.

If we're trading Bargs for Barnes we're going to have to take one of their hideous contracts off their hands (Biedrins or Lee).

Lee is a pretty nice player? i know the contract is bad, but a good scorer and rebounder and would fit way better than bargs.

not even sure they'd do Bargs for barnes and lee!?

They'd likely stick us with Biedrins, which isn't too bad considering we still get Barnes.

Plus I think we'd probably need to sweeten it with including Ross.

Inspired by Alex Anthopolous, how about this Blockbuster Trade:

Raptors Out: Andrea Bargnani,Jose Calderon,Terrence Ross
Raptors In: Paul Millsap, John Salmons,Eric Maynor

Jazz Out: Paul Millsap
Jazz In: Kendrick Perkins,Terrence Ross

Thunder Out: Kendrick Perkins,Jeremy Lamb,Eric Maynor
Thunder In: Andrea Bargnani,Tyreke Evans

Kings Out: Tyreke Evans,John Salmons
Kings In: Jose Calderon,Jeremy Lamb

The salaries add up and all players are eligible to be traded (as verified by ESPN TM)
NBA Trade Machine - ESPN

When you consider everything from player perfomance, prospects and expectations to roster(playoff contender or not),contracts(expiring and over paid),this is a pretty fair trade. I think every team would agree, except the Kings arguably. In their case,it's tough to lose and give up on Evans but his contract his expiring and they'd reload with another young guy in Lamb, who'd be locked in for a few years. THey'd be getting an expiringcontract in Jose(who could start) for Salmons contract which isn't good for their team with the young depth they already have at SG/SF. Also,OKC maybe could send a pick the Kings way or something.

I hope the Raps stumble across this and work magic!!!

wow, very creative!

i don't love it for us, or anyone for that matter! but that probably proves it's a good trade!

actually not sure thunder goes for it. Ibaka and bargs, struggling for rebs badly there! and puts them back in the harden situation, renewing 'reke. Although evans can't claim a max deal. although lamb isn't getting much PT so far, i think they like him.

great trade tho mate.

Its a gamble for the Raps, but getting Millsap gives Toronto a tough, rebounding PF who can score, which fits Casey system. Salmons is a player that BC nearly signed a few off seasons ago who can start at SF or even back up at that position or SG. Maynor is a good and better pass first point guard than Lucas to back up Lowry when Jose departs in this deal. The goal would be to resign at least Millsap,if not,his contract comes off the books (as well as Maynors) and you'd still have Davis and Amir at PF. In the following off seasons they'd have more money to throw at a good player for their scheme.

For OKC,i think they do it...the downside is,they'd have two guys who aren't ideal PG's in Westbrook and Evans but they get another talented player with a name(it matters in the playoffs when i comes to the refs). you can switch it up in so many ways. They'd outscore teams like Phoenix did some years ago and win that way,but if they're concerned with D and rebounding, the could start Thabeet and Ibaka and bring Bargs off the bench in a second unit with Evans,Collins and Martin.
