I'm thinking it has to be Knight or Walker (or traded)...not too many highly rated PG's in next years draft so they should grab their future floor general now.

My vote goes for Knight...a PG who can play D...have we ever had one of those?

5 Toronto Raptors

Brandon Knight PG
18 years old; 6'3"; 170 lbs
Kentucky, freshman

Jose Calderdon, Toronto's starting point guard, will be on the wrong side of 30when the 2011-2012 season tips off, indicating that it's probably time to think about the future. Drafting a player like Knight is a good idea considering that he can play both on and off the ball, and has major upside to grow as the team's potential franchise player.

Anyone know much about Kawhi Leonard?

This kid kind of intrigues me, he's got a pretty high rating and i've seen him compared to Mbah a Moute & Gerald Wallace. Apparently very quick and rebounds like a MOFO. The main problem i see with him is he can't shoot from deep and him and Demar and Johnson would all be lacking in that department which is not a good thing. But i don't know anything about him.

YouTube - Spotlight on Kawhi Leonard of SDSU. Life on and off the Court
Good size and built for a SF, shooting needs work, good defender, can rebound well for his position. Comparison I seen a lot of people throw Shawn Marion out there and some throw Gerald Wallace out there.

Not a bad option either for the Raptors depending who is there when Raptors pick.

Doesn't have superstar potential I don't think but a pretty good player to have on your team. Was very fun to watch on a underrated SDSU team for most of the year.

Rebound well, he averaged nearly 10rpg in College. As a 6'7 SF that's impressive.

I thought well was good. lol

One thing you gotta remember is he played on a small team in SDSU and there are not many 7'0 Center in College Basketball. A lot of teams might opt out at 6'8-6'10 players in his conference.

SDSU top 3 rebounders were Leonard(6'7), Thomas(6'7), and White(6'8).

IF the team kept 5th pick, and Knight was off the board, someone mentioned they liked Bismack and now the more I look at video and read the reports coming out of the ACB the more I like him - defense, shot blocks, finishes hard in offense and rebounds well - all attributes the Raps need. Weakness is low to no assists but he wouldn't have the offense run through him anyways - like Dalembert. He would pair nicely with Bargs playing the PF and if there was post offense it could run through Bargs, as he can pass. If we kept Bargs as the starter (which I think we will) then I would trade Davis for a SF or a SG as DD can play either. If we kept Davis then I would definitely go after a SF. Bismack/Davis would certainly make a potentially formidable front court duo - and help clean up weak defenders like JC

Bismack is 6'9, playing Center is a stretch.

thats why his winspan is 7'7" lol

Seriously, I was being faciteous with his height as Bismack is like 6'7ish without shoes - like Davis. I do like his tenacity and defense though. Those qualities you can't learn or teach through experience.

If a player doesn't like a team, are they allowed to not attend the Raptors sessions and tell them they don't want to play for them???

First of all... no one in this draft is Lebron James so they don't have superstar rights. Second of all its very unprofessional to say that.. word will spread and no one will draft you.

Sorry, was just on another thread and was speaking about Glen Davis not Ed Davis and my thoughts carried over.

this isn't true at all.

players chose and decide which teams they will visit before the draft. if a player doesn't want to attend the Raptors work-outs, they won't book them.

as for being drafted, they can tell a team that they don't want to be drafted by them, but it doesn't mean that they won't. if that player is the BPA, there's a good chance that the team draft him and maximize on his value. if the player is content on not playing with that team, he can not sign his entry level contract and wait to be traded or go play in europe.

He has a standing reach of like 10 feet and he's uber explosive.
