Nope, just some pond scum will remain. I thought we had two first rounders?

No?
I don`t think Kanter will go top 5. BC doesn`t like banged up players or players who didn`t play recently. He likes players who processed and showed leadership towards March Madness. I think Kemba Walker fits his bill.

Ah, Calderon. Well, either way, I'd call that very, very minor tanking, since Bayless actually played well and I doubt Calderon would have helped the team win more than an extra 2 or 3 games. Losing 2 or 3 wins is very minor tanking.

Anyways, I thought you were refering to the nuuuuuuuuuuumerous other injuries the team sustained during the season. Linas was hurt. Leandro missed games and played hurt. Reggie got hurt, just as he was putting up Rodman-esque numbers. Bayless even played hurt a few games. You could see he was in loads of pain in that road game against Chicago.; more than you'd expect a player to "play through". And, of course, Amir definitely played hurt. I'm probably forgetting at least one other person who missed 10+ games.

That was Ligeia. But I agree.

Question is... can he score like that at the NBA level?

He was fun to watch in the NCAAs but as a pick he scares the hell outta me.

Like Bargnani, but shorter? This kid won't be able to defend his shadow.

Falling to 5 is NOT good. But if williams-irving-kanter go top 3 (in whatever) knight or walker are there for Toronto IF they want a PG

Since Knight was at Kentucky I said he was one of my favorite prospects coming into the draft.

We loss out on the top players but I would be very happy with Brandon Knight.

Just a few musings...

- Right now, there is no guarantee that Kyrie will have a much better career then either Walker or Knight. Dropping to 5 is sour but it's not the end of days.

- I'd like to see the Raptors keep the pick and add a young piece. The thing about the NBA is that sometimes, players can thrive in low pressure situations and really improve/evolve...as long as they're given opportunity to play.

- Knight over Kemba. Big 1's are sweeping the league. It may not be a guaranteed road deep into the playoffs but it sure helps. BK has the size and scoring down. Only 18 and still growing...him, DD and Davis would be fun to watch.

Also, we know Knight can hit a shot late in games during clutch situations (and he does it even if he's been struggling earlier on). The dude is not afraid to take the big shot. Overall, during the NCAA tournament, he showed quite a bit of maturity for such a young player.

I'm not going to lie; I'd rather the Raps have the chance to draft Irving. What the fuck you gonna do? Gotta make the best of the cards your dealt.

I honestly think nothing is set in stone until workouts begin. I still think a guy like Josh Selby is worth more than a 30th pick in the draft.

That's why mock drafts are leaning towards Raps selecting Knight at 5. Maybe the best available and also a need on the team. Hate to see a board like Draftxpress having him going at 3.

Something is wrong with this system (as I've been saying for years) when you have the third worst record but the odds say you should be picking 5th.

The lottery is nothing more than a dumb gimick that should be trashed.
