You may say what you please, it really isn't important to my mon ami.

Had he said that without prefacing it with "so this is colangelo's grand scheme" then maybe I would have not even thought to look twice at it. But he didn't. I can read into the context far better than you, clearly, hence my reaction.

I'm not really sensitive, so I don't really mind a little bit of a heated argument, provided that personal insults are kept to a minimum.

Anyway I don't understand what makes my post a hissy fit and nonsensical? Is it because you don't like what I say? I have a very different view from yours?

I'm sorry that you hold Toronto management, BC Larry Tanenbaum & co. to such a high standard. It's not my duty to butter them up & have every right to say what I observe about his foolish, band aid of a strategy that only delays the process this team will have to undergo.

Toronto sports fans have consistently been fooled into buying a shitty product, gulping the Kool Aid and just go along with the flow, never challenge their GM or managements moves/decisions asMLSE and BC or Burke and co. sell and package it very well to their fans. I'll go further than that and call Toronto management grade A con artists.

Put the blame on VC, blame Bosh, blame Babcock for drafting Araujo, even though it was MLSE that pushed for him.

Anyway, was it not Colangelo who promised building or rebuilding with youth last year? Doesn't he always say how he took a step back from moves as that would put us into contention for late playoff spots as he was concerned about the future of the team?

The guy lied. Like he always does. And yet again, no one is willing to hold him accountable. Not members of the media, not fans & not the guys at the top, as they know the fans will just cave in.

Colangelo has been a failure here, especially with his short sighted moves & we can expect to see more of the same coming.

So adding:

Ed Davis- 23yrs old
Demar Derozan- 22yrs old
Valanciunas- 20yrs old
Bayless- 23yrs old
Terrence Ross- 21yrs old
James Johnson- 25yrs old
Quincy Acy- 22yrs old

(7 players 25 or under)

Isn't adding youth? And other than Nash (for obvious reasons), we're looking to add Batum (23), Ilyasova (25), Dragic (25), Lowry (26). Seriously, did he ever say he would NOT look to add a couple veterans when we had capspace? Sorry, but at some point you have to add vets to the youth to try and instill a winning culture. I don't see where he lied.

Can't wait till this is all over, been in Europe since May 26th, and right now sitting on my cousins couch in Debrecen with my laptop refreshing hoopsworld every 10 seconds hoping for that elusive "Nash chooses Toronto".

When I told my cousin Raptors might get Steve Nash he was like "The soccer team?" Nobody knows anything about the NBA here lol. Except of course "Lakers, Kobe Bryant, and Miami Heat"

Let me start off by saying that I'll be the first one to jump on the Nash bandwagon, should he choose to come here. Having said that, I think 36M over 3 years is a bit too much to pay for a 38 year old; even if it's Nash. Sure we'll be satisfied in the short run, but the same people who are cheering for him now will be lamenting him when he's 40 or 41, unproductive and hogging the salary cap with 12M. We'd be losing a lot of flexibility in the long run if we pay him 12M a year. I think a 20M 2 Year deal or a 27M 3 year deal for Nash would be better for the Raptors in the long run.

You have to wonder if BC put a deadline out there for Nash..I mean BC has plans to add other pieces to the roster, and we can't all just sit around and wait for Steve Nash to listen to the Mavs low ball offer after they lose out on Deron.

Tues to Wed he should make his decision.

Ya I remember in one of the first interviews he had about where he would like to sign, he said it could happen pretty quickly, within 24 hours.

I still love the option for Nash, as I've pointed out before, he's an upgrade basketball-wise, and you always take that, but there are so many intangibles that he brings to the organization.

At the same time, I don't think Nash is the make or break option that he is made out to be. There are still many ways that we can improve this basketball team with and without Steve Nash.

Hey now, stop that. You need to not have clarity and jump on one side or the other of the Nash debate. A rational thought process will not be tolerated.

Raptors were perhaps thinking of picking up Marvin? Thank god for Utah.

Marvin Williams was a conceivable trade option for Raptors, btw.
